sorry! they're all honestly good at the least. I think if you fixed California's production and sequenced the deluxe tracks in with the regular edition, it's up there with classic Blink

It's fine, haha. I was joking man.

Yeah, the production on California irritates me, as does John Feldmann, and I think he's the main reason the album is so overproduced.

it's definitely down to Feldmann, and so are a lot of the worst lyrics on the album if you believe the BTS interviews around that time. his mixing somehow manages to make Mark and Matt sound like the same person, it's impressively bad

My ignorant opinion is based from me never having met him, I do enjoy Goldfinger though!

Don't know anything about the guy personally, just don't like his production work :-p

having said that, I'm not so sure any of the Blink guys are super pleasant irl from what I hear. bar maybe Matt

Yea, it was more that they apparently always spent time in their own bus and didn’t interact a lot.

I haven’t read the interview in over a decade haha don’t judge my memory of what was said

That's good to hear, his support of xxxtentacion the other day was super disappointing and bad imo, but everyone has lapses I guess

I met Mark, Matt and Travis and they were super super nice. Especially Mark and Matt, some of the most down to earth and polite people I’ve met.

My brother bought Tom weed like 10 years ago the day of Travis’s plane crash. Said he was definitely pretty cool despite the obvious circumstances. He was playing an AVA show with maybe Weezer? that weekend and met him at the hotel he worked at.

I have a hard time believing 100% of anything Tre Cool or Mike said about blink during that tour/time. In every interview I've read from that time period both of those guys seemed to have a serious chip on their shoulder that they had to co-head line that tour with blink and sometimes go on before them. I also don't really believe that blink complained that Green Day was out playing them night after night. Just complete speculation on my part but I have a hard time believing Mark or Tom would care that Green Day was putting on better performances than them, it just doesn't seem like something they would care about.

I do however believe that there was probably a lot of tension on this tour between Mark and Tom because of BCR and they probably weren't as close. But I don't think it was a big deal at all they had their own buses and kept to themselves. Both Mark and Tom were married and their wives were either pregnant or just had a baby.

My memory is hazy....were there dates that Green Day closed instead of Blink?

I'm under the impression that blink closed every night and haven't been able to find anything online to say that Green Day closed any shows.

I thought they switched off but I might be getting the Pop Disaster Tour mixed up with the No Doubt Tour where they switched with No Doubt each night.

It's not that they didn't get along, it's just genuinely a super awkward conversation
