Meanwhile, I'm out here just waiting for this to drop on Netflix next week so I can watch it over and over and over.

Rey opens her mouth to respond but then we cut away to another scene with a MAN talking.

The Luke's daily routine (and the milking scene) is one of my favorites in the whole movie just because of how delightfully weird it is. It would have been so easy for Disney to be like, "we need to shave a few minutes here, that milking thing can go", but instead they doubled down and didn't just have Luke milk the thing, but then stare at Rey as he drinks it. So weird, but so good.

I wouldn’t be shocked if they asked him to remove it and he wouldn’t budge.

Is the remake like a real idea and not a joke? Like what the hell just don't watch it if you don't like it I don't understand people actively wanting to get rid of something people enjoy just because it doesn't match up to their tastes lol

My remake would basically be Luke and Rey traveling to Endor to recruit the Ewoks and infiltrate Snoke’s ship, Wicket decapitates Capt. Phasma with a samurai sword, Finn and Leia hunt down Kylo and curb stomp him, then Poe and Rose make Snoke the middle of a human centipede... this may end up being rated R. I could tone down the language and nudity.

My friend says the TLJ throne room lightsaber fight "doesn't count" because it wasn't a saber on saber fight. I think he's objectively wrong. Discuss.

i don't think he's right but he's not technically wrong? if that makes sense...

while they are for sure fighting with light sabers, at no time are the lightsabers used in combat with one another, which i am sure is the point he is trying to make. it technically is the first SW movie where a lightsaber does not cross another in battle.

Is he using it as a complaint against the film?

He knows this franchise is fiction, correct?

(uhh, relevant bit is five seconds in)

Yes, it's a complaint on his part. He's thinks it's a disservice simply because every other Skywalker movie thus far has had a lightsaber fight, therefore he's conditioned to believe every Skywalker movie necessitates having a lightsaber fight.
