I haven't listened to the new album yet, but I remember feeling like Devil Is Fine was sort of a disjointed offering. Like, the idea was solid but the execution wasn't there. Perhaps I need to revisit it and then try the new one.

 

The execution is much better on the new one.

 

I keep meaning to check out the new Thou acoustic album.

Well, you already said it. I still feel like the new album is disjointed even though it's a bit better than Devil is Fine. On record, it's a better idea than actually executed. That said, I've heard they're good live and will probably see them when they come through in September (also helped by the fact that Astronoid is opening for them).

This might be my favorite Thou song ever. It's so fucking good.
