I will say this, Rousey showed some promise. It was clunky, but I likes the intensity and length of the match. But I wasn’t happy about th instant cash in. It ruins the fun of The briefcase and it would have been great to see Bliss with it for a few months at least.

Decent chance we'll have zero briefcase suspense this year, since Braun cant cash-in if Brock isnt there. The day Brock shows up, Braun will cash-in/demand a match

I however am a big fan of the instant cash-in. Deans was perfect. Someone like the Miz cashing in on AJ after that Last Man Standing match would have been great too.

Watching the Larry King report about Benoit. Such a weird panel. Cena, Jericho, Hart, DiBiase, and Blackman. So much weird speculation and shit.

    FKA tell that mick Prestigious

Went to the Paramore/Foster the People show last night, but was able to stay away from most spoilers until I got home to watch (except Braun winning, saw a photo of it on Twitter).

Didn't bother watching the pre-show, but thought Big Cass and Daniel Bryan was mostly fine. Think what you will about Big Cass, but Daniel Bryan getting the better of a bigger and stronger dude a couple different times is exactly what they should be doing to build him back up as a legit threat if he's ever to get that shot against someone like Brock or Braun. Offers a level of believability, even if they position back into the ultimate underdog role.

Fell asleep about a minute into Zayn and Lashley. When I woke back up, we were a couple minutes into Seth vs. Elias. Didn't go back to rewatch Zayn and Lashley. Pretty sure I made the right call. Elias and Seth was a lot of fun, and I was totally fine with Seth using the tights on the roll-up. Mostly because of how they worked the knee all match and because it looked like Elias had the tights first on his roll-up anyways. I don't know why anyone would be complaining about this anyways, though. Thought we were all in agreement that heel Seth is the best character version of him, and even if his work-rate is in the top 3 in the world right now, I find squeaky-clean Rollins to be just meh. I think there should always be that little hint of a smarmy guy who is willing to do whatever it takes to get the win to his character.

Really enjoyed the women's MITB, especially the first 5 minutes of it or so. Thought there was a lot of really cool new spots that showcased pretty much everyone off well. Not entirely sure why everyone is so upset at Alexa winning without her taking many bumps, especially when everyone would have been completely fine with the Miz winning MITB in the same exact fashion had it happened. Some timing gaffs, but that's so common in these matches is it even worth really condemning the entire match over them? The entire philosophy of climbing a ladder in pro wrestling is so fucking unbelievable anyways, like, c'mon now.

Fast forwarded through Roman and Jinder because I don't hate myself.

Don't agree with how they're positioning Asuka. Fine with the booking of Carmella had she been facing pretty much anyone else on the roster, but you had something so incredibly exciting and fresh with Asuka coming to the main roster. A long-term story arc where you keep getting screwed out of a title works well for a Becky or Bayley character, but I think it pretty quickly erases all the hype you created for Asuka. The James Ellsworth wink was fucking hilarious, though.

AJ vs Nak was good, but not truly great. This may be because I still had Gargano/Ciampa so fresh in my head, but I didn't feel like they really did anything that over the top for a finish to a Last Man Standing match. I liked it, though!

Was impressed with Ronda, once again. Thought she looked great, and her selling was fantastic. That moment where she tried to stand up after the powerbomb to then fall backwards through the ropes was a great playcall out of Kyle O'Reilly's book. Was cool with Alexa cashing in, too. Too early for Ronda to have a belt. Only nitpick was I thought Alexa should have hit the DDT on the briefcase, then cashed in, and then hit Twisted Bliss to cap it all off.

Men's MITB was good fun. Just goes to show you how stacked WWE is right now. You could make a case for every single guy in that match to be challenging for the world title right now and I wouldn't be mad about any of them (except maybe at Roode being a face—please turn him ASAP). A little bummed it wasn't Balor or Joe, but Braun literally running through a ladder was gnarly and I'm excited to see what direction they take him holding the briefcase in. I know some people hate it, but I really enjoy when we get a little bit of Braun's personality and humor, and I think him holding the briefcase could be a great way to give us more of that.

TL;DR: How do I block Drew and Slade?

I thoroughly enjoyed last night's PPV. I didn't agree with the booking decisions in a bunch of spots (Braun was the guy who least needed the briefcase; Natty would have made more sense to cash in on Ronda), but nothing so egregious to ruin my viewing experience overall. Aside from Lashley/Zayn, I got at least some enjoyment out of each match. Loved Ellsworth's wink and that Superman Punch sell by Sunil Singh was hilarious. On par with a Stunner sell by The Rock. Obviously the best wrestling of the weekend was on Saturday night, but I haven't felt this pleased in a main roster PPV since maybe the Rumble.

  13. blah blah Brandon Stroud blah blah but whatever his booking idea for Braun is beyond perfect
"Still though, getting the championship off Brock Lesnar is beyond a good idea right now, and I think as long as they have Strowman announce he’s cashing it in you don’t have to take the ridiculous shortcut of THE MONSTER AMONG MEN having to wait for some cheesy opportunistic heel moment to become champion. He should just show up on Raw tonight saying, “I want Brock Lesnar at Extreme Rules, here, my cash-in is happening,” and then just beat Brock one-on-one for the belt. Don’t give this can’t-miss enormous country Hulk Hogan a cheap win as his first Universal Championship. Let him win it. Better yet, let him win it without cashing in and just let the Money in the Bank briefcase expire as a way to protect himself from, let’s be honest, the only way anyone should be able to pin Braun Strowman.'

They did announce that as a theory for Charlotte though; that her winning the briefcase was key because she'll almost certainly be champion again, and this protects her from the same fate.

Itd be bad booking for Braun though
