With Confidence - Love and Loathing (August 10, 2018) Album

So they kicked out that creepy as hell pedo guitarist, but didn't the singer do some dodgy shit with under age girls too or am I getting confused

 

I'm getting The Maine vibes here. Really like it. Hope we get some punkier songs though, they were already pretty light as far as pop-punk bands go.

 

Yeah, he did, but for a lot of reasons it was nowhere as bad as what was with the guitatist.

There was an <4 year age difference (which is legal in most states) and she was of age for AUS anyways. There apparently was some sexting early on, but they maintained a platonic friendship omce he learned her age but he eventually ended it when he thought things were getting too weird.

Idk the full moral efficacy, of it, and there's probably a lot we don't know, but she never clarified her timeline afterwards so the details are pretty sketchy.

 

The song is good. Was hoping the guitars would build a little more but the progression from their last record is nice

 

Yeah, the whole "No lead guitar" thing is a weird choice

 

Ohhhh I see. That's fair. If she was of legal age there then I really don't have a massive problem with it. It's a little weird and I still think he's creepy but I'm not gonna hound the guy for it.

 

Song is really good. Chorus in particular

I remember accidentally meeting that Luke dude in the same group of people I was talking with while they were on tour with State Champs. That Luke dude was such a wiener. He gave me a bad feeling when he opened his mouth. I didn't even realize he was in the band until they got on stage.

New song is pretty good though. Lead singer looks like Willy Wonka.

 

I'm not sure if I would use a lighthearted term like "wiener" to describe a predatory creep like him but okay.

 

Yeah...I watched Halloweentown last night and theres a line in there that goes "That Luke dude has turned into such a wiener". Thought it was fitting given his name.

 

New song: Jaded. It has Life's Not Out To Get You vibes, which is always a good thing.

 

I like the new song a lot. Their first album was good and I think this is going to be a very good follow up.

 

So catchy. Keen for the new album.

 

I'm not as stoked on this song, but it's still good. It still feels to me like there is a layer of guitars missing. The song doesn't have much depth.

 

This is VERY good so far. If any band deserves a second chance it's this one, and I think this record may give them that.

 

The production and music is tight but it for some reason loses the magic of their previous releases

Damn. That song on the album called Spinning has potential to be a huuuuge hit

 

That and Sing To Me are both so damn good.

 

Listening to this song now and came here to say how much potential that song has.

This album is very good.

 

I enjoyed Better Weather a lot, but this album is so much better. Catchy, full of bangers and a really easy listen that flows well. In a summer full of Pop Punk albums, this stands out above the rest along with Real Friends.
