I guess, since all of the good unique places are in tampa or st pete and not driveable for my whole family.
There are a few local places I love that are close by but they are also like just a standard affordable everyday kinda option and I want something a bit more special for my birthday, if that makes any sense

if it were me and I wanted to go to a decent yet not too expensive chain, I'd probably go with something like Outback or Texas Roadhouse, maybe P.F. Chang's. The Cheesecake Factory. any of those, really

Outback no and idk where there is a texas roadhouse....I was thinking Longhorn which I guess is kinda similar....just not sure I'm in the mood for steak

so yeah "type' of restaurant is good too. Like you said pf changs which made me think of asian food, we're talkin about steakhouses now... idk. I can't think of anything that strikes my fancy lol

 

Carrabba's is dope too

 

carrabbas is right across the street lol and I love their lobster ravioli so that one's definitely being considered

 

I like Longhorn. hard for me to hate any steakhouse tbh

 

for some reason I just want it to be a place that I "don't get to go often" or something like that. Ya know. Obviously you guys dont know the places I don't go often lol but I can't think either!!

 

I worked at Carrabba's for almost two years haha. Honestly not bad food for a big chain restaurant. Their sausage & lentil soup is the bomb.

 

ya and I'm a bread queen and carrabbas def reigns supreme in that regard

 

I've liked everything I've had from there and I can't fathom why anyone would choose Olive Garden over it

Yeah their big thing was no microwave and minimal freezer space. Only things I remembered that came in prepared are the bacon wrapped shrimp, cheese sticks, and, funny enough, the bread haha.

 

I am literally so lazy and stressed out by this that I want to tell someone here is my city look online and tell me what you think looks good which is ridiculous
I think I'm just putting too much pressure on it bc its a ~special occasion~ and also the one day you can get away with picking exactly where/what you want no matter the price lol (well, within reason haha)

 

I love that bread tho and the fucking olive oil

oh yeah it's good bread haha. the olive oil is legit good olive oil though. i would take SO many packets of oil and herbs home.

 

this is a v good strategy but it being 10am and I am still full from breakfast its hard for me to envision what I'm going to want at dinner!!! ya know!

 

my buddy pressured me to go out at like 12:30 last night and bar hop and for once i caved. got p drunk and don’t have a hangover which never happens!

now im watching the clock tick to 11 so i can go get pizza

it was ok. i got some laughs but i could’ve done without the requisite baby jokes and a literal 20 minute abortion bit. his “that joke was very funny” after he gets a laugh is getting old too.
