i think mewithoutYou and Manchester Orchestra both did something really special with their latest records. and that is putting out an album very late in your career that could easily be your best album to date, even when its up against a large / amazing catalog.

 

imo this is what Thrice lacks with TBEITBN and Mm

Well Beggars was Thrice’s 7th album, 8 years after their first. A black mile is Manchester’s 5th, 10 years after their first. So I think that would be a fair comparison for a later career phenomenal album.
