Theory is dumb for ruining a great song, but it is interesting to think of the art design with the fade in on the text on the left to be a clue to take out the left earbud

honestly....4 more songs points to another long album. im on board. and i gotta say, going through ILIWYS for the first time and hitting each pre-release track and already being familiar was kind of a treat.

 

i don't know what it is but 1975 songs don't really get old for me; i played ugh like a billion times before that album came out and i still adore it. the same will without a doubt be true with give yourself a try. can't wait for any new music they decide to give us before the albumis released

I still love Ugh but I almost never listen to Love Me anymore... overplayed it, my own fault.

I don't know. Andrew McMahon released four/five songs from his ten song album last year so I was barely excited for it once it came out. I like going in not knowing most of the album.

But as someone else pointed out, 1975 albums are usually lenghty!

 

i've definitely gotten tired of pre-release songs before but it doesn't seem to happen with certain bands. maybe it speaks to the strength of the songs, or maybe it's what happens when the album comes out and most or all of it is just as strong or stronger than the song(s) you fell in love with beforehand

 

I guess it depends on the length of the album. 4 songs released before a 10 song album is a bit much. But 4 out of 17 is just a taste.

 

Iliwys would still be a normal length album without any of the prerelease songs so it didn't compromise the experience at all.

 

I think that is what will happen here. I love this song, I love it to death. I have played it numerous times, but I bet that the rest of the album is going to be even stronger.
