    I hate spoilers. Supporter

    I can't pick a favorite song. I love albums where I can't pick a favorite song.

As much as I love Seneca, another full song in it's stead would have been nice. Just can't get enough of the new album.

Seneca resets for the second half so nicely, though. It's a glorified outro for The Long Defeat, but it's time needed before Black Honey rips in.

I'm seeing a lot of Facebook and other social media peeps saying that Wake Up is their favorite song.

    It's funny.

It's not my favorite on the album, but it's still a fun song.

I refuse to start ranking three days after getting the album, but my hot take is that Wake Up would be my least favorite song on here. And I still really, really like it.

Love this record. Still haven't gotten tracking for my preorder though.

Big step up from Major/Minor. My only complaint is that heavy end of Thrice's sound isn't big and beefy anymore like it was on AITA, or even the fire disc of AI. I miss that level of power and weight, even if they've incorporated softer elements and electronics in their sonic palette. The songwriting is immersive though. These rhythms shift and bubble in ways the band only hinted at on Beggars. Salt & Shadow is a hell of a closer.

Mine is in my town an got bumped back a day. Wth.

FedEx smartpost is the worst. If I would have known they were going to use it, I might have ponied up the extra coin for a better option.

That's how I feel (also about Wake Up). I have my favourite but couldn't for the life of me rank the rest. I will say that The Long Defeat has really started standing out the more I listen to it. It's the one I find myself humming the most when I am not listening to the album and that has to count for something.

Yes...but a thing isn't beautiful because it lasts

Color me surprised if they don't go with Hurricane for this tour's set opener. Imagine Dustin walking slowly onstage playing a ukulele, the spotlight just on him with the rest of the stage blacked out. Then, everything lights up at once as the rest of the band comes crashing into the song.

June 17 can't come fast enough. Never had the chance to see Thrice before now.

My favorite is Stay With Me, the rest fluctuate with every listen basically. The Long Defeat is so great, too.

bite to break skin is one of my favorite SF songs, so i don't want to give off the indication that i found that post "disrespectful to thrice" or something, btw

"Whistleblower" is becoming an unlikely favorite for me at this point. It's a really, really great penultimate song.

This is slightly off-topic, but I've been on a Thrice discography kick for the last month and I still can't get into The Artist in the Ambulance. Am I just weird? I know so many people that love it and I keep waiting for it to hit me, but it's easily my least favorite Thrice album outside Identity Crisis.

My album came in this morning and it was the limited edition. So happy I got mine. Hope the people who's orders got mixed up are able to somehow get their orders fixed.

I mean, it's a pretty straight forward post hardcore album. I wouldn't say you're weird, but I'd venture to say you're more into Thrice's experimentation.

That's definitely true, but I like post-hardcore a lot and I'm a huge fan of Illusion of Safety. There's just something about Artist that has never clicked with me and I've never been able to put a finger on it. Maybe it's just one of those albums I simply don't jive with, but it's rare for me to not jive with an album for no reason.

Are there any specific tracks from that album that you're into?

I mean, "Stare at the Sun' and "All That's Left" are good. There's nothing I really dislike on the album, there's just nothing that particularly stands out and the songs blend together for me.

I highly suggest giving it a front to back listen if you haven't in a while. Paper Tigers and Silhouette are two of my favorite Thrice tracks ever. The beauty of a band like thrice is that they truly have an album for everyone haha.
