Watching Hush when I'm most likely gonna be home alone tonight this is a bad idea. On the plus side I've been meaning to brush up on sign language for work so this is a nice bonus

Just finished Freddy's Dead. Not great but some fun moments throughout. I liked it more than 5 but that isn't saying much. One more and I've seen the whole thing. And I hear the next one is good!

    Doing fine. Prestigious

New Nightmare ranks third for me. Right behind Dream warriors and the original. It's very meta, Craven's precursor to Scream. Hopefully you enjoy it as much as I did.

I have to ask because I want to watch with my wife, any sexual violence? Sexual violence is a huge no-no when it comes to watching movies with her. I got yelled at when watching The Revenant.

No, nothing like that. The violence is minimal, but aggressive when it's actually on screen.

The Village is the only other movie that I can think of which is similar in tone/time period.

I would give warning if either of you are sensitive to things involving babies.

Oh yea, forgot about that little detail! Implied though, but yea.

  12. Are any of the After Dark films enjoyable? I remember my brother watching them as they were released. I'm in the mood for a decent, cheesy horror flick.

Check out They're Watching if you want something cheesy but decent.

but you don't see the baby being placed into the thing...I dunno haha. I have a 6 month old and the scene with the knife against his chest was worse than the bowl thing

I guess it is kinda implied, but I had a feeling of dread, like "did that just happen?!"

  17. I saw The Witch in theaters and didn't even realize what was happening in that scene until later haha

I recently watched this on blu ray and I guess my theater was really, really dark.

I had no idea you actually saw Lucifer's face, I didn't like that when I watched it the second time. He looked to be Spanish/Italian but I don't know, I remembered only seeing his boots and hand. I also stick by my opinion of the movie ending as Thomison walks into the woods, nothing more.

  19. I do not recall seeing that either. Hmm.

He was for sure in it, thick black beard really clean trimmed and everything. Looked like fucking Zorro without the mask but with the hat.
Also, my theater seemed to have a 4:3 copy while the blu ray is 16:9.

I'm about 10 minutes into the first episode of Slasher and I've gotta say I'm already impressed.

  24. I rented New Nightmare for the first time tonight.

Anybody watch the Scream series? If so, how is it?

Same. Saw it in two separate theaters and never saw Lucifer's face, only boots and hand. Watched it at home and could clearly see him. Is it a different version?
