Went to brunch the other day and found something on the menu I've never had before. Lobster and waffles with a sweet vanilla bean sauce. Thought I'd share!

At a place called Egg, about 2 blocks from Dogfish. So many good food spots at the DE beaches.

 

Because of your post I'm booking our valentine's day trip extra early this year haha. I will add that to the list. I'm a sucker for lobster.

 

haha yeah man! I went for the weekend and booked another weekend in September. Its only an hour away from me, but sometimes day trips just arent enough!

 

That’s awesome. We definitely want to spend more time in Rehoboth this year than we have before. We’ll probably stay in Bethany Beach again because we love the hotel so much, but the restaurants in rehoboth are so much better than Bethany. Gonna try for 3 nights this year I think.

 

Absolutely. I've always heard great things about Agave in Lewes Beach and finally got around to trying it this week. If you're into Mexican/mex fusion, I highly recommend it.

 

I need a dinner idea. I'm supposed to cook for someone fairly important to me and I want to impress them. It has to be fairly simple, yet still elegant and impressive enough. No seafood and no beef. Garlic, onions, and spice are all encouraged. If anyone has any ideas, I would love them, because I'm drawing a blank. Gah.

 

Also, if anyone wants a site with very good recipes, look no further than the NYT cooking page. Absolutely worth the cheap subscription.

Rack of lamb, or if going extra fancy a crown rack? I've always wanted to make this recipe based on looks alone, but I've made just regular rack of lamb before and it's pretty easy and really delicious.

Marsala is such a breeze to make and so damn good. Good idea! The last time I cooked chicken marsala, it was a huge success.

It was a month ago, so not too recently! I need to impress the gf's father with something really good so he can tell all the aunts and uncles what a gem she has haha.

 

I'm doing a training out of town so I went to this restaurant I'd never been to. Had Veggie in the title and veggies in their logo and I got hyped and looked at the menu AND IT ALL HAS MEAT. INCLUDING THE VERY VEGGIE SALAD. Lol wtf. And I'm sure I could easily sub the meat out but don't front like you're all veggie and have meat in literally everything on the menu lmao I feel so betrayed.

 

I've been coerced into making burgers tomorrow... somehow... so I think I'm making these:

The loss of Bourdain is just unreal. I can't wrap my head around it. My twitter feed is just... it's surreal. All of the chefs and culinary people I follow. It's nothing like I've ever seen.

 

Its truly heartbreaking. He was such an inspiration to so many people around the world. He had this aura surrounding him that just pulled you in and inspired you to be a better person. I still can't believe it.
