Yeah and you can infer based on how high in demand tickets were that if they announced a show at Terminal 5 or something, it would have also sold out

 

why is the assumption that the show **must** sell out? the stone pony will make plenty money on a gaslight anthem 59sound show on a sunday evening even if they only sell 3200 tickets. folks are still gonna show up and booze it up for drunk singalongs.

 

I hope you guys are right, can only do a Sunday show that weekend so I am praying sat and sun are added!

 

arguing that a 3rd show won't be a success simply because there may be a doubt that it sells out is just silly. who knows when (if ever) we will see this band again, and they are playing their fan favorite album cover to cover. i don't think anyone at stone pony is concerned about attendance.

 

Are we that certain 3 nights are booked or is it speculation

 

based on the fact that other guy knew all the dates for the shows i am certain there are three shows

 

some guy in here two weeks ago posted the dates for these shows with more. so i'm certain it's true

 

Cool. Other shows mentioned were 2 nights in philly and boston as well, i cant see them playing 7 night in a row though

They sold out PNC three years ago touring an album that got relatively poor reception. PNC capacity is 17,500 or so vs. the 4,000-5,000 at the Summer Stage. You're also not factoring in that a whole bunch of people are going to go to multiple nights, that they're going to announce the shows once the previous show sells out, and that this is a one-off "reunion" that isn't being billed as an ongoing thing.

If you want to wait until August to look for tickets, be my guest though. I hope more take that approach so I can grab my tickets today.

I have confirmed this multiple times in this thread. It's not 7 days in a row. The is an off day on 8/16 between Philly and NJ.

I was at that PNC show and it definitely was not sold out, I'm not sure where you are getting that from. But I do agree with you that they will have absolutely no problem selling out 3 day stint at the Summer Stage. Especially so given the circumstances of this tour.

Did anyone else just get a new countdown timer when that one hit 0? I used the link in the email and it just rolled over into a countdown for tomorrow lol

Mine did, but then it refreshed and went to a page to order, and I put in the pre-sale password (59sound) and it's telling me it's wrong?

 

It rolled over on my Macbook but the app went to presale. Didn't help though and now it saying code is incorrect.
