They ended my date as well. I remember at my first Warped in 08 my brother who I went with told me to make sure I watch them and I don’t know who they were but I did then from then on they became my favorite band. It’s been amazing to see them grow I’ve seen over 15 times now.

 

I don't think they closed Ventura in 2011. It was my first Warped and I wanted to catch them but didn't know twenty minutes prior wasn't enough time to get a good spot. I remember feeling like their crowd spanned like half the venue. I think TDWP closed that date but I missed them because my friends wanted to end with Go Radio.

No. They went on about 6 something. I remember watching Relient K play a side stage afterwards at about 7 and then I left for the day.

 

I thought they closed out the main stage that year.

 

Where did you get this from? is there a database with all set times from every year out there, or are you just a big ADTR fan?

 

ADTR also only played before 4:00 twice and before 5:00 five times that tour, which is almost unheard of for most main stage bands on Warped. That's some special treatment.

(I'm not saying it's a bad thing. They drew huge numbers to the tour that year, and I totally get Kevin letting them close out so many shows. I'm just saying they definitely got treated much better than the other main stage acts the tour has had.)

 

Digging the new Real Friends

 

Pretty sure in 2016 Sum 41 played late almost every day, same with Pierce the Veil in 2015. However, I feel like playing last at Warped is worse than playing at like 4 or 5 since if I don't really care I'll leave before the last sets.

 

I'll agree with you there about playing last. I think having your set as close to 5:00 is the best possible slot. I rarely stay until the end of the day.

Yeah I remember most of 2016’s your Sum 41 played usually after 3:00.

When they played at 12:20 at the Pomona date I was shocked

 

Has anyone ever been to the Mountain View venue? I’m debating flying in and was curious how the setup and everything is.

 

GWAR closed off the Mutant South stage every day last year. It wasn’t the last set of the night though because the north stage played afterwards

 

I think they were on list every day just because of their costuming/stage setup

 

Yeah, they didn't want other bands having to perform on their fake blood-spewed, or have their crew have setup while taking down the high production stage props

 

Did some hunting and found the times here: July 15, 2011 which gels with what the above poster put for their set time that day but the main stage in Toronto was scheduled like this:

Yeah in 2011 ADTR played second-to-last at my date. In my opinion, though, that's really the ideal time, because it's late enough in the day that it's cooled off some so fewer people will be sitting it out due to the heat, but it's early enough that people haven't started bolting to beat the traffic.

 

I've been to just about every Cali stop for Warped other than San Diego (including Sac in 2014 unfortunately) and last year was the first time I ever attended in Mountain View. The layout was pretty easy to figure out but I honestly prefer Ventura and Pomona. Outside of there being a stage in the ampitheater, my recollection of Shoreline is a little foggy. I was pretty faded last year

 

watched that at wantagh and truly have been changed.. was fantastic
