I cared very little to check out the stuff they've done since coming back but I did listen to the singles for California which I didn't like at all

agreed based on the singles. thought a member change my shake things up but it did not

they reminded me of Kevin Devine and Bright Eyes which is always a positive. there was this one song on the first album, it was titled something related to a cat and it had some meowing in it that definitely was a little too Wes Anderson precious for me but besides that one song I really enjoyed them both. I can look at the tracklisting and tell you which ones were highlights for me as well. I'll definitely come back to those and listen to the rest of their stuff.

I'm not it's biggest fan but I'll still get down to all the small things at karaoke. untitled is pretty easily my favorite of their stuff but I can't deny their melodic ability prior. take off yr pants is hella underrated by blink fans imo. I also once figured out the riff to dammit by accident lol

do you fuck w Alkaline Trio? I've probably missed the boat on them completely but Jeremy from Touche and a bunch of other peeps I like/respect have talked up their old stuff recently so I'm interested.

I think since of the songs off California are some of their best songs ever written.

Oh it's not a big deal but I appreciate it! I really don't mind sharing my musical tastes with you guys I just know nobody in here is really interested in any of it except @Garrett L. My musical tastes are stuck in mid-2000's and everybody else's have moved on haha.

Yeah I'd say Enema is my favorite followed really closely by TOYPAJ. TOYPAJ is the better album overall and has better songs (Stay Together For The Kids, Reckless Abandon) but Enema got me into the band so it's hard to top for me. Funny story about this is I was given a copy from a friend in HS but it was the Clean version and it was badly scratched so it's strange to hear the actually version and no skipping/full songs now.

I like ALK3 but I don't love them although I love love love the Damnesia acoustic album. My only IRL friend is a HUGE fan but I'm like you I think I came along too late.
