Thanks for Prass rec. Couldn't listen to all of it this morning but I loved it. Funky as hell

 

The last thing I’m gonna say about this album (unless I change my mind and decide I have something else to say don’t hold me to anything) is that beerbongs & bentleys is better lyrically, more interesting sonically, and a genuinely more enjoyable, engaging, and emotionally resonating release. Yes: in 2018, Post Malone is better than Kanye West.

ye feels like a harder album to get through than culture 2.

that seems a bit hyperbolic. Culture is four times as long with just as many good tracks.

I find some of the snobbery that comes out in some of these forums to be self serving. People tend to treat social issues as a way to drag other people in these threads. They are empty meaningless gestures that are used to pat ones self on the back. Like I’ve said before it’s elitism disguised as empathy.

They say they want “conversation” but really they just want to squeeze out anyone that disagrees with the prevailing narrative. Creating an echo chamber. These are the same people who will be surprised when that clown in the WH gets elected for a second term because the majority has gone silent.

I disagree with every single thing Trump has done. I also don’t give one fuck what Kanye has to say about Politics. I have said, I have bigger fish to fry and I don’t put any of my eggs in that basket.

 

Once again, not liking nazis and those that enable nazis being passed off as "snobbery" is .. uh .. insane.

 

sometimes it's about reading the room and the way you present your takes comes off as just trying to say "fuck the haters" more than understanding and being productive

 

You don't read any of our posts do you? This is basically the exact opposite of what any of us have said. "Surprised"? lol, I spend like 90% of my time in the politics thread expecting it and explaining why.

 

you can care about whatever you want in regards to kanye and trump but then why do you care when others are irked when someone uncritically celebrates a fascist, white supremacist, rape apologist? Because that's who Kanye is. I promise you everyone here would rather people listen and educate and grow and be sensitive and empathetic than run them out of town.
