I think cultural impact is an important factor in this and I think the Tool bro-culture created would play a factor despite their music not being bad

no they have 2 really good albums. haven't heard the new one yet. I like a few tool albums, they aren't my favorite band, but they are not "the worst"

some of their fans might be though.
