So it was a group interview of 4 people including me and my ex (self conscious now every time I type that THANKS @EmmanuelSCastle :P ) and the interviewer was gonna bring us into a room one at a time for solo interviews.
Well as soon as he went inside the room with the first dude my ex and I just looked at each other like, lets gtfo (after being informed of the absurd hours and pay and job itself)
Well home girl beside us “takes a call” but straight up dips and I was dying laughing thinking about if the guy came back out to just find all 3 of us gone hahaha
Honestly picturing it was so funny to me but ultimately I had too much guilt to do that and we told the interviewer when he came out instead of just disappearing lol

Just poppin in to say that I love this post. Too many of my relatives have damage to their wellbeing due to alcoholism, particularly my dad, and myself. It's dangerous and that should be talked about more. Don't think I'm comfortable talking about my experiences with alcohol but I did drink a lot at a very young age to cope with trauma. Didn't help me at all

 

I'd like to post in this thread and get to know everyone but shyness gets the best of me

 

Luh you Mary. While I personally don’t struggle with alcoholism (despite all the jokes I make about loving alcohol), my dad was a full blown alcoholic and it ruined my childhood so I have seen firsthand how damaging it can be and I am always willing to lend an ear regarding this topic should anyone need one.

No need to be shy Mary, we’re all just a bunch of idiots!

i had no idea people were uncomfortable with weed talk in here. huh.

birdperson doesn't drink alcohol anymore either, not for 21 months now (something about being murdered during my wedding toasts in that one multiverse just turned me off to it)

in all seriousness i'd like to think i've been very open on here about my alcoholism and my family's alcoholism. alcohol will take every single thing you have, even your life. took my aunt's two weeks ago. yet for some reason it's still perceived as cool to binge drink and get blackout drunk and have all day hangovers and things of that nature. weed has the stigma it does because of racist propaganda in the 1940s. so let's break down that stigma (or not, i don't give a fuck if you look down on me for smoking weed lol)

 

I deleted Instagram off my phone cause I felt like it started to become a problem in that whenever I was bored for like 2.5 seconds I’d instinctually just open it and I have tried to do that like 10 times today just out of habit which tells me it’s bad lol. I think I’ve developed a few bad habits this past semester from just constantly trying to escape school I think lol. I hate to say it, but I wish I could just quit this site sometimes...but I love talking to y’all too much

I deleted my Facebook last year and haven’t been tempted at all to go back

I do wish I had the self control to quit this website because while I love a lot of you and music is my passion, I really need to become way more productive and get my life together
