Haha not getting my hopes up but I also wouldn’t be surprised if Pokemon Pikachu/Eevee is true.

 

I would be so upset.

 

I think a Kanto remake is the only way a Pokémon game would come out this year and that’s why they’re doing it. Next gen might be next year or even 2020

 

I honestly dont get the hype for the first gen pokemon games (aside from nostalgia), imo 2nd gen, and 3rd were the best games and had some top tier character designs

 

I don't want to play Red/Yellow for the 3rd or 4th time but I'd be soooo stoked for a full remake/reimagined version. I'm still very interested in the game even if it's a whole new generation, but I truly wouldn't be bothered at all if they never add another Pokemon after w/e number they're on. I have essentially 0 knowledge of anything post 251, and beyond that, I'd way prefer them innovate story or gameplay-wise than add 80 new things to catch and call it a day.

 

Fuck anyone that goes the wrong direction with the rainmaker in Splatoon

The only thing I’m not looking forward to are the “stop pondering to gen wunners” posts.

 

Gen 2 games are the best but gen 1 mons are what most gamers recognize. I can use three fingers to count the number of people I know that can name over 30 gen 4 mons. The popularity + sticking to their roots is going to cause GameFreak to use gen 1 a lot.

With the Switch games reaching a home console and the graphics being a lot better, it makes sense to go through each gen again in chronological order.

 

I’ve been wanting to play through all the games again in order so that sounds perfect to me

 

I still haven’t beaten Wizard of Legend. Closest I got so far is dying at the 3rd boss. I feel like I could have beaten it had I been more patient.

Man, that took something out of me. Going to try again tomorrow.

 

Playing through Slime-San right now and it's fantastic, lots of neat mechanics that make it really unique and the art style and concept of playing through the inside of a worm and finding the other NPCs that have taken up residence there is really cool. Recommended if anyone wants a cheap/challenging platformer for quick sessions

Might also buy N++

 

Mother trucking Ikaruga comes out on Switch this week. Super excited.

Finally had some decent internet connection and started to get better at Splatoon. Apparently my 3 year old plays online all day though. Sorry to whoever is on his team as he just runs around and gets splatted.

I've never played a Pokemon game in full but that looks amazing?

Really hope the gimmicky shit isn't too prevalent

 

I’m personally way excited for this. Pokémon Yellow is great so this being a remake gives me a ticket to the hype train. As long as this doesn’t feel like a filler game (the next main core game comes out in about a year) then I’ll be happy.
