I was doing 80 in the middle of a long row of cars all doing 80 down the 101.
I asked the CHP who pulled me over “I thought you’d get the first or last car in the pack, why did you pull me over?”
His response: “I pull over, who I want to pull over.”

 

We have a neighborhood Memorial Day parade every year and the lead car passes out those little flags. The kids have no idea what the flags are, they just liked waving and shaking them at the cars and people in the parade.

My day is okay so far. The toddlers woke up cranky, but we calmed them down with some Daniel Tiger books and oatmeal.

It’s finally an acceptable temperature today, so hoping to get some outside time in: probably a walk in the park this morning, yard work during their nap, and then playing in the backyard this afternoon.

How about you? Did you have a good weekend and was it as hot there as it was here (95 the past few days)?

 

I know this isn't directed at me, but do you stay home with your kids?

 

Not usually, but I’m on paternity leave for a little less than 2 weeks still, and since my wife is breastfeeding she has the 1-month old most of the time and I take the toddlers.

Glad you were able to calm them down because there is nothing quite as exhausting as a cranky toddler (I can't really speak for two at the same time, but I can imagine that it's fun times all around when they are both cranky).

That sounds like fun and I hope you all have a good time outside! It's been hot here since the end of last week (90-95ish), but it's a little nicer today. I doubt we will get outside much though because the baby is sick and has a fever :( We are going to pick up a backpack carrier tonight, so I'm pretty pumped about that.
