I’m still interested to see what the different DH catalog numbers for A Brief Inquiry and MFC means. Now, the two titles seem to be merging into one.

 

So the countdown obviously has to be something different than the song premiere, and likely a lot bigger...

 

I mean the new poster today still has A Brief Inquiry and it's the same catalog number as always. I still think they're separate things. Also, the website seems to be counting down to DH0325, since that's what's in the lower right hand corner. As for what is is, I don't know lol.

 

Agreed, but the poster also has “MFC” on it. We’ll find out soon, haha.

Still sticking with a short film. Also possible that the song drops early, but the video drops on June 1st.

 

I can't wait to find out whats going on so all the speculation can end.

I mean, Jason said with a considerable amount of conviction a few days ago in this thread that it’s a song and video. Maybe I read his tone wrong but it felt like that should’ve ended the speculation lol. They’ll do a radio premiere on Thursday and officially release the song and video on Friday.

 

if all we're getting is this single on friday then they just fucked up the hype worse than they would have if it was just gonna be a single without announcing the annie mac premiere

i think i like the album title A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships more than Music For Cars. then again my relationship and most of my friendships all began online so it kind of speaks to me in a more specific sense.

 

Facts. Speculation is inevitable and encouraged by a 30 day countdown, so if they just release singles like they did last time, it's gonna feel less powerful

 

i think we're going to get more than a single but its gonna be like, album details (is it done yet? when is it coming? these questions will be answered), philosophy behind the rollout, more explanation of the themes being explored, possible art work and tracklist

 

if we just get a single and few more blanks filled in i'll be happy

 

I also think it’s a cooler title

 

Mfc ep is everything I love about this band so the idea of them exploring it more is perfect to me. Also all their music for me fits under the "music for cars" umbrella so it would be the best way to finish the project.

 

A Brief Inquiry is such a better title to me, although I don't particularly dislike MFC. Just never stuck out to me. I also relate a lot more to online relationships and don't have a car so you know

music for cars is a fine title and i hope the complete title is Music For Cars: A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships, though i dont know how the phrase "Music For Cars" would slot into the themes being explored via a brief inquiry?

 

hopefully it all comes into view sooner rather than later
