AFI is still a top 5 active band in my life

 

I'm behind, but I love Bruno Mars' voice, I think has great singing talent and I just personally love the vibe and tone he has. But I don't think I've really gotten into a single original song he's done.

 

I hate "Grenade" with every fiber of my being but "Treasure" is sick. Dude has talent but is a major cornball

I'm glad The Gaslight Anthem are on a break. Their last two albums ranged from mediocre (Handwritten) to straight up awful (Get Hurt) and their live show had become, to put it nicely, really boring and uninspired. It felt like they were phoning it in when I saw them in 2012 and then it was blatantly obvious when they toured with Against Me opening for them in 2014 and Against Me blew them off the stage every night. I know that not loving every thing Brian Fallon has done is sacrilege on this website but I never enjoyed TGA acoustic, his solo stuff or The Horrible Crowes.

 

oh, heres an unpopular opinion: get hurt is excellent

 

Thought Get Hurt was great. Think Brian Fallon is great.

 

The Gaslight Anthem are one of those bands I enjoy dipping into here and there, but not one I would ever sit down and listen to an entire record from.

 

I like 45. That's about it.

59 Sound is a great record, and I like Handwritten too. I'm not a super huge fan of their more soulful/bluesy material

 

'59 Sound still sucks.

Sink or Swim and Señor and the Queen remain their best records and criminally underrated masterpieces of punk and Americana.

The Joy Formidable might be the most boring show I have ever seen.

Just read through some of the earlier comments regarding fashion.

I'm not really into the whole short shorts thing. I know it's all the rage, but it's just making summer shopping too difficult. Oh, and I'm 6'3. Thank heavens for gym shorts.

 

Also 6'3, I feel you.

 

I think the last two Gaslight albums are far better than the previous two.

 

I have to give Gaslight another spin. There were always the few songs that stuck with me from the start, but I have a difficult time listening through an entire album front to back without getting bored or distracted.

 

I'm 6'4". You can wear shorts. It won't kill you.

 

Yeah, I have many tall friends and I also have no friends who do not wear shorts

 

I think Handwritten and 59 Sound are their best.
