I think you just have to cater for the kid who hasn't seen them before or the person who can't afford to see them often or lives far away, and want to see all the big songs.

Maybe if they play some advertised small venues then the deep cuts come out. But blink are so big they're one of those bands who have to play hits

I'd be filthy if I saw Bon Jovi, or U2 or someone and they didn't rip out Livin On A Prayer or With or Without You etc

  2. I listen to Deja on some summer nights and TDAGARIM on some fall nights, that's about it

Despite Brand New being generally mediocre to me, Jesse is one of the best lyricist in the genre. The lyrics to Jesus are just amazing.

But then they really on the rest of TDAGARIM and Daisy.

They should just play the entire album from front to back. Then do a second set of best hits and a rotating list of deep cuts. Hell, if the new album is 40 minutes long, they could do this:

    California (40 minutes)
    ---
    Greatest Hits (50 minutes)
    ---
3 or 4 deep cuts that rotate each night

And if they played slightly faster, they'd be safely under 2 hours.

    Sleekest of beaks. So Good.

Correct I have no sense because my opinion differs from yours. Give me a break.

I like Brand New a lot, and would put them in my top 10. That being said they're near the bottom of the 10, and I find myself putting on blink and some other bands( taking back Sunday, my chem, breaking Benjamin, jacks mannequin, among others) more often then them.

Holy wtf one of those bands is not like the other!

By the way, I remember seeing Breaking Benjamin live back in like 2003 or some shit way back then. They were awesome.

Brand New ranks just behind Blink for me overall. They're entirely different listening experiences that connect with me in two very distinct ways... but I can still listen to either on just about any day and be into it.

    I'm Back.

I feel like I was about 5 years too young to really appreciate Blink back during their rise (dude ranch) and popularity (enema). I remember being in high school as a freshmen (98-99) and seeing the seniors wearing Blink shirts.

Hahah I like them, and some others from that genre( young guns, three days grace pre Adam leaving, Saint asonia, etc). I saw them may last year and they're still good live

The Hotelier skyrocketed for me after Home, Like Noplace Is There came out, and I've played that album to death. I haven't gotten attached to the new album as much yet though. In a way, I'm glad for that, because usually the slow burner albums are the longer lasting ones for me.

To make this comment Blink-related, and to justify me posting those thoughts here: I like you guys, and I also hope California is a slow burner album so that i'll still enjoy it decades later the way I still enjoy Dude Ranch. Not sure that connection will exist with Neighborhoods down the road, seeing how it doesn't even exist for me now.

Brand New is weird for me because TDAG is probably my favorite album ever and Deja is easily top ten. But I don't feel like a big fan cause of how they do things. Not that I hold that against them, I just can't get hyped over them. The new song is ok but it didn't blow me away. Still looking forward to that too though.

Goddamn Three Days Grace was amazing for a few years.

I was in the same boat as you but I also liked Flaw (singer looked like Eminem on roids) and Staind. Shit, I've been meaning to check out Aaron Lewis' solo stuff for a while now.

Brand New and Blink are impossible for me to rank because I love them for very different reasons. I'd take a shit ton of bands from this scene over The Hotelier though, even though this site worships them.

I burned a cd of my favorite blink songs, ended up fitting 28 songs on there. Only two from Neighborhoods I put on there were Even If She Falls and Natives, and after going through I realize how those songs kinda don't hold up to me now.

  16. Samesies. I even saw them live and was still not sold. Different strokes, I guess.

  17. I make my own "best of Blink 182" mix CDs pretty regularly, haha. I have a pretty standard skeleton I work around and I shift songs in or out every once in awhile, and I even sprinkle in some random Mark, Tom, and Travis Show jokes here and there too.

Yeah those set list times need to be adjusted for 15mins of stage banter/poo jokes

I quite liked it. But I'm the only person I know in RL who dabbles in country music

Depends on what you call "country". I grew up on Garth Brooks, George Straight and The Judds thanks to my mom.

Just finished a blasting BTD through some seriously heavy duty surround sound speakers in my living room, and oh boy does rhat chorus sound huge.

Mines very very vague country. Pop tinged.
Keith urban, old Tay, Zac brown, Dixie chicks, Luke Bryan, J cash.

Ah ok, not my thing. I like my country without the pop aspect.

  24. I would love to be a fly on the wall in Feldmann's studio while they were listening back to everything they recorded. I bet it sounds so bangin' in there.

Aaron Lewis is less pop but obviously country with a Staind tinge
