Especially in bright eyes’ peak there was def a stigma of pretentiousness...me included. I was such a damn music snob and I literally was like 16 calm down you don’t know shit, kaitie.

Lisa Hannigan's reworking of "Silent Night" as the final hidden track is just heartbreaking.

Highlight of the record for me was always "Delicate" or "Amie" Not sure if that's popular opinion or not

Did this a couple days after his death and man, I wish I wasn't late to that band. Great body of work.
I haven't put on the self titled in a long time, so I might not like it as much as I used to. Basically, I only listen to Talon/BOT at this point.

Yeah I'm pretty blown away by how good they are. I've got Panic Attack left to go through tonight.

Ooooh. this would be a good question. "Delicate" is up there. Just gorgeous. Then, I love "Cold Water." The slow burn piano intro leading to "Cold, cold water" and the slow introduction of the rest of the band in there works so well. Love the brushes on the drums.

Ultimate peak of the entire record for me is in Eskimo when everything crescendos and the opera singer comes in. Legit probably the only song I can think of that just makes me completely happy 90% of the time I listen to it, no matter what my mood is.

Cassadega was the first one I listened to for that reason, but probably my least favorite of the 4 I've heard

for alot of my favorite artists; they have so many songs spread out over albums instead of like all encompassing albums. its pretty common among the best artists in ambient, idm, and classical.

    Boards of Canada
    Aphex Twin
    Steve Reich
    Messiaen
    Eno

    The Beatles too big time

Also i lowkey like the Four Winds EP more than Cassadega now. I never have a desire to return to that one even though i loved it when it came out

    What the hell chase.
I know this falls pretty in the middle of their discography but I actually really like Cassadage personally.

Ugly Organ + Burst & Bloom + Domestica are all close to flawless. Not to say the rest isn't good, but Kasher's songwriting is pretty much unparalleled in my eyes. That first The Good Life album too.

I love Four Winds but someone ruined it for me and now I can't listen to it
