Putting on Pinkerton for the first time and hearing the guitar feedback and the biggest fattest bass drum booming through the speakers was life changing in my music listening life as a young child.

There are so many interesting aspects of the album from its contrast to blue as a follow up, when, how, and why it was written and recorded, its relation to SFTBH, the reaction from music reviewers at the time, and to how it laid the foundation for almost all of my favorite bands and albums now. Like, just outside the actual album and music on it itself, everything surrounding that album is so interesting and has made such an impact on our scene still today.

For me, Damien Rice's O is a perfect record. Just flawless.

It’s good, but i wouldn’t say its their best. BOT is their best, i think. But twin sized mattress is their best song.

I give Talon the slight edge over BOT but the more I go back to their catalog the more I just get reminded how many weak songs they right. But when they hit the mark, they fucking slay (see Twin Sized Mattress).

    For me, it'd be:

    Talon
    Back on Top

    Self Titled

    Going Grey

Weakerthans - Left & Leaving also.

I'm bad. Perfect album is hard. Everyone just listen to The National, Bon Iver, The Weakerthans, and the Gaslight Anthem as well as everything else those people do.

That's why I didn't check him out when I first heard of him. The people I knew listening to him at the time were stuck up and mean to me!

Then again it was one guy and it was 9th grade so I have no excuse
