  2. They are! Mainly just doing summer tours the last few years. The last album they released was by far their worst (same goes for Rob Thomas solo) but I'll always have a soft spot for MB20 and RT. Great songwriting and those first three MB20 albums were huge for me. Always down for new music from them.

The first Rob Thomas solo album is a big favorite of mine, as are the older MB20 albums, too. Ah, the 90s.

I saw MB20 last year and they are still awesome! I liked their last album too, even though it's not new at all anymore (2012)

One last review and then I'm done catching up! This album was given to me by @disambigujason.

This is Good Tiger's second album, We Will All Be Gone. I can't say I was not familiar with the band as I have reviewed their first album in this thread a few months ago. I remember it was an enjoyable able with great musicianship, but that the singer's voice was getting on my nerves after a while. Let's see if this is still the case.

After listening to this album a couple times, I definitely enjoy it more than the first. The vocals are cleaner, which makes them more appealing to me. It's still not totally my type of vocals though, but the album is only 10 songs long and the last two tracks are an instrumental and a more laid back track so it makes a nice change of pace and keeps the album from getting annoying to me. I have to admit the guy has a great voice even if it's not my preferred style of vocals.

They have done a great job making this second album better than the first. Once again, the instrumentation is top notch and the cleaner vocals make for a better listening experience. There's nothing that really makes me say "I need to listen to this again right now", but it is a fun album. Thank you for the rec!

Favorite tracks: The Devil Thinks I'm Sinking, Grip Shoes, Just Shy, I'll Finish This Book Later.

    7.5/10

So am I the only one, or when you give a rec and your partner comes back with an awesome review of it it kind of puts you in the mood to spin that album a bit?

I will admit that there are some good One Direction songs. As an album though it’s like wading through a haystack.

I also have the urge to spin the record when I recommend it (before they even listen to it). I realize how much I love the album all over again, lol. That gets me even more stoked to read the review.

Speaking of reviews! I'm planning to do a mega post very soon with all my late reviews. Finishing touches left on a couple. So sorry for the delay, @Larry David, @Patterns in Traffic, and @JRGComedy!

I think Four is like their only album not like that. Everything else u kinda have to pick and choose. But I think one direction are better than like most of the bands regularly discussed in here so it's just my meaningless opinion and my soft spot for boybands!!

I'm almost as satisfied to be caught up here as I am to finish a mountain of work at...work. But I don't get paid to do this, hence the "almost." ;-)

    I had recommendations from @cshadows2887

These reviews are kinda short but only because I'm inarticulate at describing music ha

Antonio Carlos Jobim - Wave. I was told this is good to listen to on a nice weather day, and that's v true! It is like being transported to a tropical island vacay which is low-key sad because I'm not on a tropical island vacay, but I guess with this I'm one step closer at least! Idk if there was a standout track but it was v relaxing and nice throughout. And when I do end up on my tropical island vacay it will 100% be on the soundtrack as I'm sitting on the beach sipping my drink with a lil umbrella in it

Stephen Bishop - Careless. This was another album I found relaxing. From the first song i felt like I was slow dancing in a classic romcom lol or in the middle of a movie montage which was pleasant and gave it a daydream quality. It held my attn and I will prob put it in a playlist cause it seems like nice driving music. I liked it!

  23. I'm paired with @anonimito this week!

    I'll listen to:
Darren Hayes - This Delicate Thing We've Made

    They'll be listening to:
Julia Deans - We Light Fire
Arma Del Amor - Onna Bugeisha

The album I recommended to her is a 25-song double LP, so it only seemed fair for me to have two albums myself. :-)

Probably the double album that I have listened to the most and is probably my favourite solo Darren Hayes album, or at least it's close between 'This Delicate Thing We've Made' and ' 'Secret Codes and Battleships'.
