It's so frustrating because I love the soul beat, but that song cannot be on the album.

I would guess that IF Lift or Ye were on the album, they would already be written on that white board.... but honestly who knows anymore

Is there even an album? Probably not. It'll just be "love."

Ye about to drop yet another classic.

  9. Our 'no attention span new news cycle' brains are just over what was one of the bigger, really awful, stories of the year it seems.

Are you talking about the Kanye interview?

  13. His interviews were part of the larger whole.

    Can you expand on that?

  15. There's, like, the last 40 pages of this thread at least expanding on that.

I mean, slavery was a choice, I like the way Candace Owens thinks, maga, etc etc etc etc. Not hard to find this info.

I've seen the interviews & have read the criticism; I don't need your condescending comment. I was merely asking what he meant by, "one of the bigger, really awful stories of the year." I'd say there are exponentially larger, more horrible stories/things happening throughout the world than a poorly articulated thought & opinion by Kanye, but to each their own.

His words and actions speak for themselves, not sure what there would be to expand on. If you reduce all of that to a poorly articulated thought then idk what to tell you. For what it's worth I'm not judging you for listening or even being excited for the music, your posts were just weird.

Yea, I’m not over it, he’s not getting a penny of my money and no words of support regardless how I feel about the new music.

I was curious as to why he thought this was one of worst things that has happened all year. Don't get me wrong, what Ye said was irresponsible, poorly articulated (from what he claims he actually meant), dangerous, amongst other things. I believe he meant mental slavery (imprisonment would be less of a buzzword that he should have used), but how he was going about trying to make that point was pathetic.

I find it hard to believe that he is that stupid to think that slaves could just up and leave plantations without consequence or fear of consequence, yet that is what the media & social media is using to "dunk on him." I thought it was obvious that he was implying that being conditioned to believe that you are less than another, and choosing to maintain that mindset generations later after actual slavery has ended in this country, will only continue to keep you stagnant & not progress. To be honest, that mindset can be applied to both sides. You are mentally imprisoned if you believe you are better than another, and you are mentally imprisoned if you believe that you are less than another.

He never said that racism doesnt exist today, or that there aren't racists in this world. There are, in every race, in every country, in every political party.

As I stated earlier, I think he completely & grossly missed the mark with what his intentions were in that interview, but I'm not going to throw in the towel on another man because he either: 1. Had a bad opinion and/or 2. Didn't articulate his thoughts well.
To be fair, that also seems to be what he's preaching. Listen, digest, educate, & inform those who might be mislead by faulty information or who have a different opinion than your own, don't completely write them off & condemn them. Only by listening to one another & conversing can you actually change anything.
