That's wrong. BNE will always be their best and most natural. This one felt quirky for the sake of being quirky.

both BNE and AL do the same thing with different sonics. both incredibly consistent albums without any songs that are standouts

 

BNE has some good songs, but I think it’s been overrated since it came out. AL is the most cohesive and consistent by far

With a dose of "I kind of want them to do an album of stuff like Future and No Friend"

i'd like AL most if it had any songs that were 9.5s or 10s, it's a pretty consistent 8.5 throughout except for grudges imo

 

surf rock/garage rock/anything that burger records could be into is just bad to me

 

Hard Times is a banger. Idle Worship is also dope as hell.

I still think it has standouts despite being pretty consistent - Rose Colored Boy, Fake Happy, Grudges, and Idle Worship are top tier for me. The only song I don’t like is Caught in the Middle.

 

caught in the middle's bridge is one of the best moments on the album

 

Eh, that song just annoys me more than anything

 

Para’s best song by a mile is Careful.
