Well, yeah, of course, if I had it I wouldn't be putting it out there either. I guess streaming is the biggest way things get out there nowadays, I can see this making it to release day if they don't stream it.

 

iTunes uploads at midnight on Thursday/Friday, right?

 

It is crazy that albums used to leak up to a month in advance and now you are lucky to get a leak the week or two before.

 

Sometimes 2 months in advance or more!

 

early leaks are top tier tho

 

They put out the song preview earlier then usual this time

 

Just wanna say that the way this album has been marketed is awesome! The hype build has been unreal. The 10 sec teaser countdown, studio vids, music video, interviews,its really helped pace what initially seemed like a short wait.. and now has felt like an eternity. As someone who is holding out for the physical I really, really hope it does not leak.. Mostly for spite. haha.

 

I mean, starting this time tomorrow is roughly when it goes on sale in Australia/etc. so that's usually when it leaks when a release makes it this far in without a leak.

 

At least I know I'll be listening tomorrow at some point.

Right? They can't make me wait any longer...

 

I'm assuming they will stream at some point tomorrow as well after they post the 1 day "Salt and Shadow" preview. Does anyone know if those who pre-ordered vinyl get to download through the website or do we have to wait for the voucher? My vinyl hasn't moved from where it was at yesterday, still shipping label received.

Leak! My patience is leaking!

 

Really thought today was the day

 

It just shows you how we are used to leaks and early releases. It's almost expected but then I remember I am entitled to nothing.

 

May legit experience this for the first time by driving to Best Buy and purchasing it. Wild concept. I did that with TAI, now that I think about it.

 

I heard "All That's Left" in a Best Buy while going to purchase something else. First time I heard Thrice, immediately went and bought the CD.

 

Guys chill. We'll have the album in two days--or at least midnight tomorrow. We're all mature enough to wait.

Never mind the fact that I keep obsessively checking this thread to see if it's leaked, WE'RE ALL ADULTS I TELL YOU!!!

 

I was talking with my fiancee about this record yesterday (to be fair, I've been talking about it a lot lately) and how excited I was to listen to it for the first time. She isn't a big Thrice fan, but she humors me by listening to some stuff and letting me gush about how excited I am.

I also mentioned how it has been nearly 5 years since the last Thrice record and how much has happened to me since then. I went to law school, graduated, passed the bar, began practicing. I also met her, moved in with her, and got engaged.

She was like, "Yeah! In fact, since this is the first new Thrice record since we have been together, we can listen to it the first time on Friday together! Wouldn't that be awesome?"

I just looked at her and said "But, what if it streams while I am at work? You want me to...wait?"

That was not the right answer. So at this point, a stream is useless to me as I need to wait until Friday with the fiancee. But hey, at least I have someone who wants to listen to Thrice with me!

@Jason Tate and @Aaron Mook are just observing this thread and shaking their heads.

 

Jason got our hopes up and it's caused chaos ever since.

 

I'm reading through the thread rolling my eyes at the impatience, and then realizing I'm half of that impatience.

Edit: Jason mentioned the stream once, but he never said he was 100% sure it was coming.

I like your current level of neuroses about this release because I can just let you ask all the questions and do all the searching I'd be doing. So I'm just sitting over here like, "Thanks, Kevin."

 

Jason literally said, "There will be a pre-release stream."

If my narcissism is what I think it is, maybe he was getting back at me for causing some well-intentioned disruption?
