No it's a clear continuation where what happened before matters but at the same time you don't need to have played the other games. It's incredible how well done it is.

looking now, I'm not sure where that number came from. Amazon as it listed at $30 and PSN online at $60.

 

So my SO has started playing Horizon. Looks like my PS4 will be occupied for a while.

 

for what it's worth I've never played any of the others and this one is incredible, I don't feel like I'm missing things

 

God of War is good and Im enjoying and I have a long ways to go

but Im not floored

 

Niflheim is a very very cool post-game area in God Of War.

 

I remember Jim making videos about why exclusives need to die and disagreeing pretty strongly with him at the time. Interesting to see how his opinion as evolved on the issue (I agree with this video 100%).

 

Yeah, I've always been baffled that anyone has ever been against exclusives. They've almost always been the best games you can play and all of the points he makes in the video have always been true to some degree.

 

Like if exclusives weren't a thing I wouldn't have more than one console, what's so bad about them?

 

So I hope this sort of thing is cool here (feel free to delete if not), but I started a gaming blog that I've been planning for the past half a year or so. Nothing crazy, only two posts so far, but have a few other writers lined up so we can keep content consistent.

I finally finished RE7 (ending one) after not playing since last August. I loved the game overall, but the ending monologue was so fucking corny lol. Like why..........

Feels nice to complete another game from the backlog though. Currently working through God of War. Would ~ideally~ like to start The Evil Within 2. We'll see lol

exclusives aren't bad, i can't even see the other side. if it weren't for exclusives, Bayonetta 2 would never exist. /argument

 

I'd say most of the best games ever made are exclusives.
