I don’t think the score for this move is getting enough praise. Easily my favorite score of any Marvel movie, by far.

Want people to take actually offensive things seriously.
Stop crying wolf and grow the fuck up. You sit down and realize not all of your assumptions are fact.

Hope I ruined you day. Sincerely. legit can't believe the pitchforks are out over this.

Ban me please. Someone snap their fingers and take me from this place.

Alright, so that Infinity War movie, pretty good stuff, right?

It's probably the movies' fault for not really communicating it well. Nat's Red Room experience came with some physical enhancement, and Cap's empowered state is technically supposed to only make him peak human fitness (though that gets exaggerated in typical action movie/comic book manner).

Isn't Nat supposed to be the best assassin in the world too? I think that in general can give you an edge over almost anything in terms of evasion and knowing how to engage properly.

Yeah. Like, similar arguments with Batman frustrate me, lol, but strategy/skill is totally part of the equation, and she has a lot of that.

Natasha’s introductory scene in the first Avengers is one of my favorite MCU moments ever. Action that actually tells story and informs character is so sorely missing from this movie.

  13. Sigh. Okay. Try to read this without any hostility in my voice.

I sad RTFT ("read the fucking thread") and then quoted the post I wanted you to see. If you still don't understand what went wrong here, you may be a lost cause. But I honestly hope that's not the case.

Not everything has to be blatantly offensive, like "chink" or the n-word, to be considered problematic. Even a minor slip-up, such as what happened here, can be called out on. Things got out of hand when justin got defensive instead of trying to see what he did wrong. I know you and justin are "on my side" on this casting. That doesn't change the fact that what he did was really, as Jason called it, "gross." And then you came to his defense instead of mine. But look. We're not trying to demonize you. We want you to do better.

You can be unintentionally racist without being a racist. Hell, I'm probably guilty of it. Realize that your positive intent doesn't outweigh the accidentally negative effect your words and actions can potentially have on those you may be trying to help.

If you really want to be an ally, know that sometimes it's not your place to speak up. I believe in intersectional feminism and Black Lives Matter, but I don't usually talk about those things. I don't drown out the voices of women and trans people and black people. I listen. And, if possible, I try to amplify their voices instead of my own.

People may react with anger and hostility when you say something wrong, even if you didn't mean to cause any harm. It's not their place to baby you with a nicer tone, nor is it their obligation to educate you.

  16. I really love this bit of the score. It felt like my ears perked up every time it was used, which has not been my experience with most of the Marvel movies.

  18. pretty sure I had more laughs watching this than any other Marvel movie. Pratt's description of Thor had me rolling. "Not a good looking guy." :crylaugh:

  19. Plus, these are infinity stones we're talking about here. I'm pretty sure at one time in the comics Mr. Fantastic hypothesized the stones are actually alive. So even if Thanos is wielding them, it's not too strange to think they might respond to Cap in some way (his sheer willpower holds them back or whatever). Kind of like Thor's magic hammer responding to someone worthy.

  21. I've said it before and I'll say it again. One of my favorite Marvel lines is in the first Avengers when Stark is annoyed at Cap. He says something like, "Everything that's special about you came from a test tube." The universe disagrees.

I want anyone besides Cap to die haha. But I think it will be best (from a writing standpoint) if at least a couple big characters end their Marvel days in the sequel. Iron Man and Cap are the obvious choices.

With digital de-aging effects getting better and better and Marvel already using them a lot I bet if Iron Man or someone dies, he comes back in 2028 or something in Avengers 9.
