My nightmare ending to this season was Spurs spursing their way to 5th and Chelsea making the top 4 followed by Arsenal winning the Europa league title. Chelsea and Arsenal both get in CL and we don’t.

I’m glad at least one of those things will not be happening.

 

Just read that Simeone has taken charge of 374 games in total as Atletico manager, and they've kept a clean sheet in 198 of them

By far our best player all game long. Tracked runners, made some fantastic tackles (one of which stopped a sure goal), and his passing was great.

Monreal was terrible at crossing and passing, Bellerin couldn't cross either. Ramsey was too casual, Welbeck was mostly ineffectual but seemed to be trying, and Lacazette had so little service that he was getting wide and deep to get the ball out of frustration. Ozil was absent.

Xhaka and Chambers were easily our best players and saved us several times. Wilshere was average but better than 7 of our other players.

 

I'm surprised Gerrard is going for such a high pressured job. Feels like a lose lose situation but I can see why he (and others) might feel the opposite.

 

I was a Rangers fan during the 90's/early 00's but cannot cannot raise even an ounce of interest in them whatsoever now ('aint even the same damn club, even I call them Sevco lol). They suck so, so bad and they have not got the set-up for him to be a success in a role that demands so much.

 

So I hate “May the 4th” puns and whatnot, but I really love the photoshop job getting BB-8 into this photo, and the general lack of reason for Pigue or Sergio to be there. Like they just quit trying to be in theme and I appreciate it.

 

the gerrard thing is really bad from him tbh. he (rightfully) turned down mk dons because he foresaw the disaster there, yet he's going for this? a club that might finish fourth when all their fans (unrealistically) demand is first? a club that has no money to make up scotland-sized chasm between them and celtic? when rodgers came into celtic, the problem was players with ability underperforming. all was need was a good coach. gerrard could be pep for all we know but there's only so much you can coach graham dorrans and the like and they still won't be able to get near scott brown or ntcham.

putting aside the fact that rangers are one of the scummiest, most racist, jingoistic clubs on the planet, he's just made a really bad choice and i think he'll do well to see out his contract.

 

I hope it doesn’t break him. The pressure is huge and I can’t see it being anything other than a lose lose situation.

 

It’s kinda crazy there’s a somewhat realistic path to Liverpool not being in CL next season.

If they lose to Chelsea and then draw or lose to Brighton (not likely) and then Chelsea wins their last two (Huddersfield and Newcastle) they’d pass Liverpool.

 

Two seasons in a row and Sunderland and Stoke are going down. Wooo
