Pearl Jam's Ten is an iconic album and deserves all the praise it receives.

 

I loved Cobra Starship.. Thought their first 3 albums were solid, and ¡Viva La Cobra! Was a high school classic.

I was a huge midtown fan and when I first heard Cobra (spring 07) I didn't really dig them until I saw them live that summer on the Honda Civic. I loved everything about them; their energy, message, music. It was fun and exactly what I needed at 16. They were extremely influential on me for about 3 years

 

I'm extremely excited for the new Good Charlotte record.

 

Bob Dylan sucks?

I appreciate the enormous influence Bob Dylan has had on music/folk music in particular but yeah i don't personally like most of his music

I really enjoyed Babel by Mumford and Sons and it's both my favorite album of theirs and one of my 10 or so favorite albums from that year

Yeah same. As I got deeper into the site I sort of slowly got into the "iconic" bands starting with Brand New, Thrice, Thursday... still haven't touched on a lot of them.

 

Goo Goo Dolls are one of the best 90's acts in my opinion, just solid music output. Dizzy Up The Girl in particular is an excellent rock record.

Some people just don't see eye to eye, I pity them.

 

Pearl Jam is an amazing band, and the big '90 grunge bands get far too much dismissal from contemporary music fans, largely due to the worse bands who took influence from them.

speaking of grunge, i dont consider nirvana grunge. imo theyre a punk band

Probably not really unpopular anymore: Autotune is a very wonderful tool and 90% of the time the average listener notices it used, it's used in a very tasteful manner

 

Nickleback gets more hate than they deserve. I'm not saying they're misunderstood or anything but they put out decent hard rock you can play in the background and be cool with it. Plus, I've sat through much worse at radio shows than anything they've put out. Plus, Photograph is a catchy song, in the sense that it gets stuck in your head and won't leave when you hear it.

 

Nickelback deserves a ton of hate but not for the reasons they actually get hate for

 

That's what I meant, there's totally valid reasons to hate on the band for. Their music? Eh, I've heard worse being pushed on me.

 

i think The Goo Goo Dolls are pretty meh overall actually and Dave Grohl seems like a decent human being that reddit believes is a saint

 

I've tried multiple times to get into Joanna Newsom but her voice sounds like nails on the chalkboard to me

 

same with joanna newsom

and though i like them frances from hop along has a pretty annoying voice
