Avengers: Infinity War (Joe & Anthony Russo, April 27, 2018) Movie • Page 92

  1. I love that scene with Cap and Thanos. I love how this is the first time he's seeing Thanos, this huge world-conquering being with seemingly unlimited power, and Steve just runs up to face him without hesitation because he knows what's at stake. Ya he should've been crushed, but we've seen Thanos toy around with people before without killing them, so maybe he was holding back.

I appreciate you taking the time to give your perspective. I apologize for the assumptions I made. I can appreciate where you're coming from, but at the time, I felt a lot of the criticisms were very nit-picky. I could have very well missed some of your other posts where you go into more detail to explain your position.

i'm pretty sure someone posted a buncha pages back that it was confirmed that they purposefully put a few misleading scenes in the trailers to throw people off, that being one of them.

I will say, the CGI on Banner while in Hulkbuster with the helmet off was pretty awful.

  6. I remember the CGI with RDJ in his suit was really noticeable in Civil War.

It doesn't make much sense that we'd summon a super powerful being only after all of the cataclysm.

I'm hoping they deal with mental health issues, and maybe that's why she is locked away.

I haven't watched A Quiet Place yet. I'll get around to it this summer. I've watched TLJ a lot since I purchased it on iTunes and I'll do the same for BP but I wasn't eager to watch them multiple times at a cinema. I feel like the hype I had for IW and the satisfaction I got from the movie really helped this one.

I'd like to know why Fury is only trying to contact Carol now. I know it's because Marvel didn't have plans for her during the first or second Avengers (close but didn't happen) but I would still like an explanation.

Just got out of my second viewing, this time with my ten year old daughter (her first time). She looked at me as the credits started to roll with the saddest face ever...tears and all. I’m comforting her and calming her down and she’s saying “I don’t want my favorite Marvel characters to go away”. That killed me, but the Captain Marvel tease made her smile somewhat. Yeah though, that was hard haha.

But Riri isn't a good character. Shuri is. That's the difference.

    Two things

    1. Thor is the best character
    2. What was up with Hulk?

Sorry I haven’t read through the thread or pay much attention outside of watching the movies so my bad if that’s been answered.

Thor in my opinion was really boring at first - but now he's one of the best characters.

Also I really enjoyed this film. I'm going to have to see it again. I feel like there are a lot of Easter eggs.

Just got out of this movie and still processing. Definitely liked it a lot.

Parker saying “I don’t want to go, Mr. Stark” really screwed me up. Tom Holland nailed that scene. I almost felt like I was going with him.

Even though I’m sure the outcome will be fine, good on this series for ending this film on such a bleak note.

  19. Love seeing how many people Thor won over in this movie. Most of his moments were great.

  20. Thor won me over after finally having a good solo movie thanks to a great, great director.

I just wish that all the good scenes weren't ruined by shoehorning in jokes left and right. Ragnarok was all over the place. Otherwise I really enjoyed it.

All they needed to do was copy the Guardians playbook to finally make a good Thor solo film.

  24. The jokes were great. All praise Waititi.
