I'm a firm believer in a Thursday-Sunday spoiler tag-a-thon, but come Monday, if you still haven't seen it, just don't come in here because obviously we are discussing it so it's your own dang fault.

 

Like I get nobody cares about spoilers but I'm tagging my own personal theories about upcoming movies in case people want to avoid those. "Sheesh."

 

You're spoiler tagging upcoming movie theories? I can understand maybe leaks but not theories.

 

I definitely have this issue somewhere, and “A second Dance Gem” makes me lose it every time

 

Theories aren't spoilers. Like, I appreciate your intentions, but that's just ridiculous, right? If you view theories as spoilers, just stay out of the dang thread, dang it.

I'd feel differently if you were referencing leaked set photos or the like. But, if we can't establish some basic limits on what is or isn't a spoiler, what's the point in even having this thread?

 

Don't read my posts then. Block me, honestly I don't even care anymore. I'm just doing it for my own posts. I'm not hurting anybody by doing it. I'm not trying to force others to do it. Just ignore it if it bothers you so much.

Spoiler culture is bad

 

The forum rules clearly state what the rules are for spoilers and using spoiler text now in this thread doesn't need to be followed.

 

I understand both sides of this ridiculous argument but it’s really not hard to hover (computer) or press (phone) on a spoiler tag. It’s minimal effort at worst, not something to get angry about.

But hey, this is the Internet.

 

This is my main problem.

Like, if you wanna go into a movie knowing the bare minimum possible, awesome. And if you're reckless with spoilers, you're a douche. But, theories aren't spoilers. And, promotional material isn't a spoiler. And, basic character/story premises aren't spoilers. And, if a thread is dedicated solely to talking about a film, and it's opening weekend, and you don't want the film spoiled, you should spend your time in literally any other thread except that one.

Unbridled anti-spoiler culture poisons discussion.

 

Right?! Like no one here is even saying people SHOULD use spoilers, just that people SHOULDNT and I’m honestly scratching my head. To put it bluntly, who gives a shit!!! It literally harms no one

It's a joke. I agree.

 

If something that isn't a spoiler is put in a spoiler tag, people that don't want to read spoilers won't read it ... even though it's not a spoiler. Hence, less discussion about non-spoiler content.

Avengers: Infinity War suffers from a huge plot hole

Does a good job summing up my issues with Thanos as a villain. His look is cool, and his relationship with Gamora at least gave him some depth. But his motivations for his actions were somewhere between weak and laughable. Much rather have him just be motivated by the desire to kill than some kinda hamfisted "cull half the population so it can survive" justification.

 

So, based on Avengers 4 set photos, it definitely looks like they go back in time to the Battle of New York right?

 

He himself is just trying to be courteous to people who might not want to have any theories in their head going into the next one. He isn’t trying to get anyone else to do it.

While I don’t think theories NEED to be tagged, I don’t see the harm in one person out of like 50 doing it? Like he said, just scroll past it

I feel like there has to be more to Captain Marvel than just minimal reference to the stones / Thanos. Seems strange that Nick Fury would specifically try to contact her if he didn't think that there was some strong connection to her and people suddenly turning into dust
