I wonder how Netflix MCU would even address this. Probably not.

I’m on the side that totally loved this. Stark-Nebula at the start of A4 will be interesting to watch. Also Thor has won me over in a span of 2 movies.

 

I went from done with Tony to totally invested in how they close off his arc. I just had a thought that Pepper probably won't be there when he comes home and it's devastating.

 

Someone in the trailer dept. didn't get the memo about Hulk lol

Is it fully correct to call Thanos a villain or is he just an antagonist? His motivations are not out of hatred, revenge, or sadism and he doesn’t take pleasure in what he is doing or what he has to do in order to accomplish it.

 

Was I the only one that assumed we’d see all major MCU character in this? I guess I never inspected the poster/cast list to notice that Ant-Man and Hawkeye are missing.

 

Lol it’s literally the entire premise of Bruce’s role in the movie

I’m fairly confident in calling someone who wants to wipe out half the universe a villain.

 

Or they were trying to hide a spoiler. Or (more likely) they were just trying to make it look cooler to sell the movie.

 

Nah the Hulk suit was in the trailers, and they got away with it because a lot of people were thinking it literally was the Hulk with his own suit

 

The trailers were like spoiler smokescreens. It's kind of genius given that everyone complains about how much of the movie trailers give away.

 

Are not villains antagonists who have malicious (ill will/evil) intentions? I’m not saying I agree with Thanos nor do I find his goal to be favorable, but he has heroic intentions and he sees himself saving life in the universe and even calls it a “burden” and doesn’t seem to appear to like the idea but sees it as something that must be done for the greater good while being free of sadistic and hateful motivations. How he talks about his goals to Doctor Strange also show that it isn’t an outcome that he is particular happy with and something he wouldn’t do if he felt like it was avoidable. I am not sure if someone with that mindset is a villain but merely just in conflict with the protagonist(s).

 

I didn’t see a single person that thought the Hulk was in the Hulkbuster armor. That’s insane to me.

Yeah. They showed Hulk in trailers and took stones out of the gauntlet in order for people to be surprised when they see the film.

 

Are you counting Banner as Hulk? Because that was a hugely popular theory that Banner was in Hulkbuster and he would "Hulk out" of it

 

*shrug* I definitely remember seeing it on Twitter multiple times


And in general I kinda like the idea of Tony secretly making a suit for each Avenger in case of emergencies or something lol

 

ending a movie like this on a cliffhanger felt like kind of a dick move and one can ask whether or not any movie deserves two connected films a year apart
I liked that the Guardians fit in seamlessly to the story, Spider-Mantis, Bucky holding Rocket and Thor speaking Groot being some of the highlights of that
Pete should have gone to MOMA, that's a cool field trip you don't get too many of those
there's just way too many characters in this movie, it took me like an hour to realize that Carrie Coon wasn't Hella, I was like oh yeah she's in this; and like I've seen all the movies I shouldn't have a hard time keeping up with plot
I hope I don't annoy y'all like Spidey annoyed Tony when I reference movies

Imagine a whole semester of just saying “I am Groot” over and over

 

Semester 1: Inflection and Emotion
Semester 2: Grammar?
Semester 3: Everyday Use and Casual Conversation
Semester 4: Literature??????

 

Their midterm grade is a five-minute solo presentation but they say “I am Groot” once and their entire message is conveyed so there’s 4:58 of awkward silence

 

I really really need to see Ragnarok now. Esp since it apparently leads right up to this. Hopefully it hits Netflix soon ish

 

I’m assuming Ragnarok ends with Thanos boarding Thor/Loki’s ship?
