Not all comics are the same.

An adaptation of Infinity Gauntlet is gonna be pretty different than an adaptation of Old Man Logan.

 

I just want good movies.

 

I also felt some emotional attachment , but I can totally understand why someone who isn’t into the series wouldn’t.

 

A noble quest and there are plenty of other fish in the sea

You may find 99.9 percent of those fish outside the MCU

 

Yeah, I can see why someone wouldn’t feel emotional weight but there’s always two sides to a coin. I don’t see why people are upset that some did get emotional weight from IW as if we’re breaking some sort of cinematic law. It seems exhausting. I would much rather talk about films I enjoy than films I don’t enjoy.

 

Explaining critiques one has with a movie =/= being upset that someone else liked that movie

Guardians 2 is the best MCU movie.

 

I enjoyed Guardians 2 more than 1 simply due to the soundtrack and Yondu

 

My film school friends make fun of me for liking most movies we see.

 

Man, I don’t know what to say about that Godfather 3 bit there, that legit made my jaw drop reading that.

I need to go confront my dad now, this needs to be investigated.

 

In all seriousness, my dad is on his own level. You think of some praised movie in the past how many years, he didn’t like it. I couldn’t tell you how many debates we had over Blade Runner 2049, which bummed me out because he got me into the original when I was a kid and had a huge impact on me.
