It seems to me that with today's roster, the option is available if someone wants one, but not a blatant pressure put on anyone to get one. I mean, Brie and Alicia Fox were both brought in during a time when it seems "management" was much more concerned about something like that and never got it done. As long as no one is pressuring someone into getting the surgery, I'm totally fine with it. Ultimately it doesn't change how anyone performs in the ring or on the mic

(Been lurking since getting back into wrestling, sorry to come in out of nowhere)

I'd say that WWE offering to foot the bill for that procedure, if that's their stance, for anyone who wants it, is itself a kind of pressure. I don't personally care what anyone does with their body with their own reasoning for doing so, but if WWE is happily paying for all these procedures, that itself is a passive statement of their vision.

Rock had gynecomastia and had the surgery to correct it around 99 which is why he wore the tracksuit during that run with Foley

Yea, I kind of agree that while even if they aren't forcing them to do it it's still kind of there and hanging around and it could make someone feel, even if it's not intentional that it might be a good idea for their future in entertainment

I’m guessing you haven’t followed her on Instagram but she got it done sometime last week, not this week. Here’s a picture of it.

I get what you're saying. I mean, lets not kid ourselves, Vince clearly has a type when it comes to both male and female talent. Really, I think it's an individual thing, though. Really depends on your mindset whether or not it feels like a passive statement and thus forcing you to feel pressured. There's also a big difference between a company handing out pamphlets on breast augmentations to their female talent at meetings and saying this is an option for you guys and the talent themselves coming forward inquiring about it. I don't know what the inner workings of all that is.

I will say this, though: They are in the entertainment business and their looks are being constantly scrutinized. If one of the women wanted to go ahead and have the surgery to help with their self confidence and WWE footed the bill, there's not too much for me to be upset about there. I know plenty of girls in my personal life who have gotten both implants or reductions who are a thousand times happier/more confident/more comfortable because of it.

Speaking of this, and the women's division, was thinking of putting together a list of women's matches in the WWE that would essentially fill the same time as a PPV for those uninterested by Friday's show, just as a show of support for the female talent. I'll probably try to hash it out tonight, but I've got some of the obvious ones already in my head:

    - NXT Fatal Fourway between the Four Horsewomen
    - NXT TakeOver Sasha vs Becky
    - NXT TakeOver Brooklyn Sasha vs Bayley
    - NXT Asuka vs Nikki Cross
    - NXT Asuka vs Ember Moon
    - Charlotte vs Sasha Falls Count Anywhere
    - Women's Royal Rumble
    - Charlotte vs Asuka at Mania
    - Charlotte vs Sasha vs Becky at Mania

I'm not super up on women's wrestling from the 70s-80s, though. So if anyone has any recommendations there, maybe those would be good to add? Something with Alundra Blayze, perhaps? Maybe I'll just keep it to the current roster, though?

I have no issue or judgement towards anyone who gets breast augmentation surgery. If WWE is paying for any cosmetic surgeries, because they are an entertainment product where someone’s look is a huge part of their work, okay. Nose jobs, calf implants, whatever. If it’s a known thing that WWE will pay for breast enhancements but doesn’t have the same policy for other aesthetic surgeries? That’s super gross. A place operating with that sort of mentality can have an effect on the psyche of it’s employees.

Usual caveat being, yeah, there’s a whole shit ton about the WWE that’s pretty gross.

I hear ya. I don't know with 100% certainty, but I do believe that WWE often will foot the bill for things like cosmetic dental surgery. It's also pretty well known that the WWE covers rehab costs for any former employee. WWE is a tough place, and they don't make it easy to defend them very often, but if they were truly creating a toxic environment in regards being pressured into plastic surgery, I'm sure we would have heard those stories. Plenty of former female talent (and male) have gone on the record about how shitty WWE has been in the past to their female workers. Definitely seems like something that would have been brought up if it was a widespread issue at a certain point.
