Before this recent tweetstorm, I said to myself that if Kanye were to come anywhere near me on tour, no matter the cost I'd go... that isn't so much the case anymore.

I'm still looking forward to hearing the album, but man. It sucks because MBDTF was fundamental into not just getting me into hip-hop, but getting me to be more open minded about music in general, prior to that album I exclusively listened to metal/pop-punk until I saw the buzz it was getting on AP, change me forever.

Sucks that he is giving a platform to these alt-right bozos, part of me is still holding out to some dumb hope that this is all some sort of ploy and that he opens up the album with his middle fingers up to these people he's boosting, but that's not rooted in any reality.

 

Returning to this post for a bit, I think this is an entirely reasonable position to take, and everyone has to draw their own line. It's a shame that the good discussion that was happening around this point got drowned out after the dumb Apple "gotcha" post.

 

He deleted a "Keep America Great" photo. Yeesh.

I can’t explain why this comment made me laugh so hard after reading 10 pages of a heated discussion. It’s like things got so calm for one second.

 

I haven't really enjoyed an entire Kanye album since Late Registration. Each subsequent album has maybe a few good songs intermingled with a whole bunch of cringe. I know people here lose their minds over MBDTF but that album has some of the worst lyrics in his entire discography.

but I disagree entirely, MBTDF is his strongest work, lyrically and production wise.

But I will absolutely not tolerate MBDTF slander

 

RZA's marble mouth and that Pusha verse are the only reasons to tolerate So Appalled, and that's like a minute total of a 6+ minute song. The rest is mostly laughable
