he did the same exact thing for the dream walker. even gave a tentative start date. then nothing happened. did it again for ..of darkness. and then he did it once again for chasing shadows. he even promised a live stage show to celebrate 10 years of AvA/poet anderson. and what happened? absolutely fucking nothing. y'all gotta stop listening to what this guy says.

Does anyone know if Ilan is still in the band or not? I know the rumor is he left but there was never really an official announcement. If he is indeed gone then Tom would have gone through 2 drummers, 2 bass players and a guitarist in the span of what 14 years?

Also count me in as far as doubting he's going to do a tour. I could see maybe a few shows in CA but that's it.

I asked Ilan last year, and he didn’t say he wasn’t in, but that he hadn’t heard any update from Tom.

What the hell ever even happened to Matt? I know he left 30STM for AVA but did he do anything after he left AVA?

He works in some company now. Tom mentioned that he would like to pull out Matt from the corporate routine.

I mean, sure that would be cool if they all got together to make a full length album. BUT, tom is the absolute king of empty hype. I won’t believe it or expect it till it happens. I’m also curious when the last time Tom, Matt, or David wrote music lol.

He probably didn't even run it by them. Just hoped that they'd ask to join once the rumor made it to them. Ha. Ha.

I think Matt said tour life was too tough being a parent so he left music for a regular 9-5 job.

The irony being that once he left AVA stopped touring.

I'm just so happy Atom was able to find a more stable music/touring career. He was probably so sick of Tom's undefined future he wanted with AVA while trying to jumble giant blink tours.

I would be really interested in see if this album and tour actually happens and how long it would last and how big of a venue they would play. I mean I know Tom still has name value but if they're going to be the head liner on a tour it has to be clubs shows or venues that hold 3 or 4 thousand people right?

yea. AVA usually headlines 3k venues. And I don't believe most sell out. I honestly don't see a full length or tour happening which makes me said. I don't believe the Tom hype, but I want to!

Yeah when I saw AVA play in 2010 in Connecticut, they played at a small theater and didn't even play in the main stage area that holds 4,800 people. They played in the lobby of the venue that they use for smaller acts and that capacity is just under 1,700 people and I'm not sure if there were even 1,000 people there. Good show though and had a great view.

Connecticut has a pretty good blink-182 following, they drew 24,767 for their reunion tour in 2009 and while I couldn't find the exact numbers for their shows in 2011 and 2016 shows I would be very surprised if they weren't around the same capacity, especially for the 2016 show. The crowd was huge.

I just hope that Tom keeps writing AVA tunes with Ilan. He was a huge breath of fresh air.

The last time AVA headlined a show in NYC it was in 2008 at a venue that held 3,700, and I'm pretty sure it sold out quickly.

But that was 10 years ago. I bet if they came back to touring they'd play the Playstation theater here, which holds 2,200.

I just really hope they do tour. I've missed them.

I dont see them touring to be honest. Way too much going on with To The Stars Academy

I'd say any touring will be a handful of California show.
