Sports Forum Policies and Guidance

The sports forum is the place to talk about sports. This thread outlines a few of the forum policies that help maintain a smooth and consistent environment.

Thread Titles

We recommend thread titles starting with the date of the season they are about, and then the sport.

Examples:

• 2017-2018 NBA Season Thread
  
• 2018 MLB Season Thread
  
• 2017-2018 NCAA Football Season Thread

This helps us make sure threads are easy to read and find the sport and season you are looking for. Once a season, or series, is over, we will usually archive the thread. Creating a new thread for a specific event, like the Super Bowl or World Series is also encouraged. Make sure to include the year in this thread title as well.

Prefixes

When creating a thread please use the correct prefix. This allows for easy sorting and searching for specific items within the forum:

• Basketball
• Hockey
  
• Soccer
  
• Baseball
  
• Football
  
• MMA

Informal Rules

• If you make the same argument as Skip Bayless, you've lost the argument.
• Sports are supposed to be fun! We watch to be entertained, let's not lose sight of that.
