  1. I'm interested in Green Day's run from Dookie through Warning and nothing else.

Sticks & Stones is fantastic. I'd put it above any Blink album but still below a couple Green Day albums. The rest of NFG's discography really doesn't come anywhere near Green Day

Shit, I'd even put NFG before Green Day. I really like Green Day, but Green Day is more iconic than good. They were like The Ramones for a whole new era and that's an amazing achievement. and just like The Ramones, they paved the way for so many better artists. Green Day may be the OG of modern pop punk, but far from the best

I think Green Day's best work blows anything by Blink or NFG or any other pop punk band like that out of the water, but they were the band that got me into music and I'll always have a huge soft spot for them. Luv me some Green Day

I never really got that into Green Day. I love some of their songs but I feel like their songs all get a bit samey after a while (not that I've listened to any of their newer albums). blink always just had something about it that separated it from other pop punk to me. I'm not super deep into the genre as a whole really.

I think Untitled is kind of overrated generally, people seem to think it's this masterpiece that I have just never heard. It's definitely Blink's best output collectively and a really solid release though. This album probably gets a lot of hate around here (and in general) but let's say for punk bands going the mature route, to say that it's better than something like 21st Century Breakdown is crazy to me. I love that album and think it's a much more smooth transition into that sound than Untitled is.

I mean don't get me wrong, I love Blink ;-p but I just can't ever let any other band in the scene replace GD for me. Kerplunk, Dookie, Insomniac, Nimrod, and American Idiot are all classics IMO.

I think it's odd to compare GD to Ramones as Ramones never really had any popularity, they really are more of an fashion statement now than any actual musical success. Green Day were and probably still are more successful than any other band in the genre. I'd put Descendents down more so under that banner than Green Day.

I loved Dookie from GD. Everything after that has about 2-3 songs I like and the rest of the album I could scrap.

Untitled is an ok album. Massively overrated though, and one of the things that's always confused me most about this site is how people treat it like a mind blowing record.
