Speaking of Valve, apparently some Valve devs have been caught playing an "RPG" based on their new Source 2 engine. So it sounds like they have some form of RPG being made.

He basically lost his shit on a female developer for a joke she posted on Twitter and proceeded to be a sexist piece of trash. For real, I don't want Notch to be involved in gaming culture at this point on if he's going to be a toxic piece of shit like Phil Fish.

 

For real, I really loathe Notch right now. The man made a game that many people from different races, cultures, and sexual orientations/genders could come and enjoy together and this is how he acts. Like a fucking sexist piece of shit. If anything, he is now the poster boy for why sexism in gaming is something that needs to be addressed on a much larger scale. Think of the message he's presenting as someone of his stature. It's just not fucking cool and I hate that he will most likely get away with that.

Like just seeing the comments supporting him is so telling of the problem that this culture has with sexism. I know I'm sounding like I'm beating on a pulpit right now but this is serious. This is a man who is beloved in this culture due to Minecraft, easily one of the biggest gaming franchises ever. The fact he's going on social media and acting like this, talking down to a female developer for a joke, is troubling and disturbing. Kids look up to him, is that a message he should be sending to them? It's not right and I really hope he doesn't get a free pass by gaming media because of it. He should be called out for this, he should be shamed for his comments.

Depends where you are, I'm in the UK and the game doesn't release (I think) until midnight GMT, but releases earlier in America.

 

Ah, yeah it's something like midnight for the UK. Just didn't know where you are or if you knew the unusual release time.

 

I'll probably fall asleep soon after I start playing tonight -_-
