I've been trying to get $10 lottery tickets for Hamilton this whole week.

By some freak accident i got tickets when they went on sale. I got through the line online then it said they were sold out. Then my friend works in the building attached to the Eccles Theater and just went to the box office and there was miraculously some left

This weekend is all about music again. Truthfully, that's most of my life.

I'm ok with that!

Tonight I've got a social commitment for a short period of time then I'm mixing a song for someone as a favor with no real expectations from them. I haven't even heard it yet - that's a super fun way to dive into something...especially when you have freedom to try to make it really interesting!

I have a messy (in a good way) postpunk band in the studio tomorrow to finish up recording drums. So far it's gone really well and we'll be able to keep some of the other stuff we're tracking at the same time - they're talented enough musicians to pull

Sunday I'm tracking a vocalist for a hard rock band that's been (very slowly) recording their full length album for about 5 months. Their singer/bass player is only available Sundays and the guitarist was gone for a month for his job. After that is done, I'll be editing or mixing something. I'm not sure right off-hand where I'm at on that project. I'm at the day job currently.

Beatles, but they're both top 10 bands of all-time and also very hard to compare based on having no similarities

 

I love both. But if i had to pick one to listen to the rest of my life it’s The Beatles

 

This is usually my exact response when this is asked. They aren’t similar at all minus being British

 

Beatles for me, i just love how they really took pop song structures and sort of messed with them over time. Zeppelin took blues structures and did the same thing though.
