Finally finished a project at work that's been taking up every ounce of my free time for weeks. Way behind on new music now but it's nice to be able to check out some new releases on a Friday again. Just finished Vendetta Red and rolling into some Animal Flag. The simple pleasures.

 

How was VR?

 

Not bad but nothing grabbed me too much on first listen. I will give it some more time for sure. Was hoping for some huge choruses like Silhouette Serenade but I didn't hear anything at that level.

I don't have any plans for the weekend other than work tomorrow morning. My husband has been pretty sick all week and it's going to rain/snow all weekend, so we are just going to lay low. Any plans for you?

So. A month or two ago, my wife and I went out to a restaurant. The bill looked kinda funny, but we paid it and wrote in a decent tip.

It was "pending" in our account for like two weeks. Then it disappeared. We got a free meal at an expensive restaurant.

Flashforward to today. I'm telling people at work about it. This woman gets really mad. She says I should have called the restaurant and made sure it went through. She said shes been a server for 14 years. She said that tips are no joke and that I probably ruined my servers night by him not getting his tip. She got so angry she walked away from her desk.

Dang it.

 

I don't know yet. Hopefully I don't do anything this weekend. I just wanna relax.

I'm trying to buy Hamilton tickets for one of the upcoming Cleveland performances and I've been in this "virtual queue" for about 45 minutes now. By the look of it, I have a few hours to go! On Fridays I typically go out to lunch with a few of my co-workers so I'm hoping that either a) I get to the front of the line before lunch or b) I don't get to the front of the line until after lunch! I guess I could skip going to lunch, but then I'll be upset (and hungry) if they get back from lunch and I still haven't gotten tickets.

So the only victim is the overpriced restaurant?

 

Probably. Unless they're really terrible to their staff.

 

Also, if you really feel bad and remember who your server was, you can always go stop in and leave a tip for them after the fact. Just say you were in recently and realized you might have forgotten to leave them one.
