I don't understand how someone could have emailed management before the tour was booked because the tour was probably booked at least 10 months ago and I feel like something would have came out within that time frame

I'll write you into all of my songs Supporter

after 5 listens, I can finally say I'm really really enjoying this album.

    its very good

Edit: whoops, looks like I made this comment at a bad time, I got some reading to do

    Things have changed.

Still, no. Hopeless did not pick The Wonder Years' manager. The band alone makes that decision.

  4. The legality of whatever statement TWY could make at this stage would mean they'd have to have people check it for anything possibly defamatory or slanderous or whatever; there's a whole bunch of hoops to jump through. Factor in that the allegations surfaced while the bands on this tour were flying Transatlantic and that Sono dropped off the tour literally hours before they were supposed to play. I mean, it wasn't even 'supposed to' come out the way it did for fuck's sake.

Holy fucking shit. This is huge. Of course it's coming from bad circumstances so it's hard to be too happy about things, but from purely a music perspective this makes me even more excited about the shows.

Do we know much about the merch for the tour yet? Are they selling the book at all?

  6. I asked @leerkat to scout ahead for me at the Manchester show tomorrow, I REALLY hope the book is there.

Seems to be the second, which, coming from hopeless, is very unsurprising

Edit : also the person said management, not manager, so it can imply a broader group of people than just their manager.

Of course I’d like them to release something about their shows being safe spaces like Dan did in the past w/aaron shows. Esp with AW on tour

i think its entirely possible the email was sent to the band's management, but i cant say for sure. however, was the email even opened by management? how many random emails do they get every day and how many go ignored or straight to spam from unknown senders? and then of course if management did see the email was the information relayed to the band? too many blanks to fill in still for me to cast judgement on TWY themselves

Right, but Jason said he talked to the poster and they had the right email addresses for the right people at the management agency, but couldn't confirm if there was actually an email sent. I phrased my post poorly and that's on me, the way I worded it and the way I came at it was from the assumption that they poster did email them, when rather I should have asked if an email in fact had been sent to their management that they were aware of and if/when that email was shared with the band.

yeah i mean its not too hard to find the correct email for a band's management so i still really dont know what actually went down

for sure, I jumped the gun too quickly on how I framed my posts and questions and assumptions. I'm hoping for the best, but I'd like to see at least something on it because it matters I think.

i definitely think a general statement on safe spaces is in order, i think that kind of statement would be beneficial before tours even start from every band regardless of what's going on tbh

And what a way you won me over

If the first books to actually arrive in the UK came here with them on tour...

From what I could see there were no books last night, I’m afraid. I didn’t particularly look out for them though...

Damn good, a cool red shirt with the tour dates and that house drawing they had online in places, and a couple of other cool t shirts including a REALLY cool grey shirt with a landscape on. Definitely bring money, I wanted to get at least two of the shirts but I have too many outgoings this month.

  20. Totally just went and did the fucking thing. LET'S GET IT.

    Regular

Even though it's not for the greatest of reasons, this double set announcement has tipped me over the edge.

Was really considering going to a date even though I have little time at the moment and live in Spain, now I'm going to Belfast, just booked it :crylaugh::worried:

  24. Is it really though? Does Cam have enough money/time/desire to sue The Wonder Years for defamation if they say they are upset with what has transpired and they would like to offer their hearts to the victim that came forward and donate a portion of ticket sales to a charity of their choosing, say they had no idea about any of these accusations before the tour, and that they believe their shows should be places where people can feel safe and they will go out of their way to make decisions based on making sure their fans are safe and comfortable first and foremost ... I can write that in 30 minutes and avoid every legal issue I know about. Gimme an hour and a hundred bucks to send a draft to my lawyer to make sure my bases are covered and do some editing. I really don't think this is as hard as people are making it out to be.

    Trusted

Being a lawyer myself, I can say this is generally correct. I imagine being in the news industry as long as you have its not your first rodeo with concerns about defamation and published statements.
