That's how I see it. As a Pens fan I'm super nervous for the game tonight, so many variables in this one.

Not a chance. I doubt professional scouts and general managers would let a 10-game sample size against competition of wildly fluctuating quality would influence their decision much. Besides Matthews only had 3 less points on a worse team with faaaaaaar worse linemates.

Matthews and Laine are comparable, but I believe you always go center over winger in a situation like that. Not even mentioning the Leafs need for a center.

So I know the goalie controversies for both Pitt and Tampa are overblown, but with the expansion draft coming up next summer, I'm genuinely curious to see how these teams handle their tandems. I feel like Bishop would be more likely to get shipped out but I don't know

 

Teams are only going to be able to protect one goalie yes? If this is the case then I'd say, yeah both these teams will be at the very least, super nervous about losing their non protected netminder.
