Boss Key might actually make one of those games with good shooting

 

I totally agree with the take that Cliffy B needs to stop chasing trends if he wants his studio to be successful. The flag was planted in the hero shooter realm with Overwatch and yet he went ahead with Lawbreakers anyway and now that game is dead. Now the same thing is going to happen here. Fortnite and PUBG are too big at this point, it would take a miracle for this game to break into that market in any significant way, especially because it isn't coming out for a while. People have invested time and money in Fortnite and PUBG already; why would they throw all that away and move to an entirely different game that offers only marginal differences and start over? And that isn't even to mention the fact that now this studio has the reputation that it will abandon games at the first sign of turbulence.

If this studio wants to be successful it's going to have to either come up with something totally new, fulfill a hole in the market (like in the looter-shooter space, for example), or make something in a more traditional genre. Their current plans are like giving Usain Bolt a 10-second head start in the 200m dash.

I can't believe they didn't save the 4K RDR announcement for E3.

 

Was really hoping for the Splinter Cell games, especially Chaos Theory. But oh well. Conker is fun and the Star Wars games are a plus. But really, Panzer Dragoon Orta is where it's at.

If you can, buy it on PC instead. This isn't a "pc master race" thing either. It's because KOTORII got the official Restored Content Mod on PC and it completes the game. KOTORII was originally released unfinished. But a lot of the content on the disc was restored for the PC version a few years ago. So if you can, I really do recommend it for PC.

Yea. It was originally supposed to be entirely uncut and uncensored, but I guess Microsoft changed their minds in the middle of development and told Rare to censor a lot of it. But, you can play the original in the Rare Replay, which is less censored if I remember correctly.

But Live & Reloaded's multiplayer was bad ass. If they can give the OG Xbox games online support, I will be on that shit in a heartbeat.

 

I've loved pretty much every Assassins Creed game but for some reason I'm having a hard time getting fully into Origins, though I am enjoying it and I really like the lead character. The story seems to be picking up now but I'm not really a fan of the revamped fighting system

 

I guess it just depends on personal preference, but the new fighting system was one of the things that kept me interested in Origins. The old one was far too easy

 

Red Dead Redemption looking fresh with the 4K patch. All that aliasing is gone too.

 

I have it on steam but like much of my steam library it remains pretty much unplayed, I’ll try to jump back into it this weekend though

 

The Restored Content Mod is in the steam workshop by the way, so you don't have to find it elsewhere.

Holy fuck the God of War reviews are great

 

Polygon gave it a 10, I’m shocked. These reviews have made the wait even longer now but I’m excited and ready for it.

 

Also, apparently the Xbox fanboys are out trying to talk trash about it, while comparing the Pro to the X in social media comment sections. While the X may be powerful, at least the PS4 in general has this really cool game and you don’t so talk all the trash you want, enjoy your 4K original Xbox games I guess*.

*The Xbox peeps in here are cool and I know you’re not buttholes like these people are being.
