That Attila summer tour comes to Illinois the same day as Warped Tour. Oops.

 

Yeah I saw that, that’s gonna be a tough call for some people! At Warped last year, Morbid Angel played in town the same night (not a lot of fan overlap) but I know several people that went to warped for GWAR, Municipal Waste, etc that then left and went straight to the other venue in time. Maybe that’s what people will do. Not sure

 

I'm already waking up in cold sweats having nightmares about set-time conflicts... ahhh.

 

Just vacationed in Portland and it's honestly my favorite city and I am not a city person by any means. It seems like it gets chaotic in the Old Port during the summer and a lot of things there seem a little pricey but other than that it is great. I know living there is way different than just traveling there but thought I'd give you a second opinion.

 

I’m not really a city person either (though they’re starting to grow on me), which is what attracted me to Maine in the first place really. I haven’t been there unfortunately, I live in New Mexico so flights are just so expensive but that is helpful!

 

I used to get this way, like, two weeks before my date every year when I was younger. My mom told me that I used to talk in my sleep a lot around that time of the year.

 

Only conflict that will potentially kill me this year is Every Time I Die clashing with Less Than Jake or Frank Turner. Knock on wood, I should be good otherwise.

 

Also it's been a guarantee for at least 8 or 9 years now that I start having nightmares in the month or two before Warped about waking up late and not getting there until mid-afternoon. It happens every damn year.

Haha dude me too. I only live 25-30 minutes from the Scranton venue so I get there pretty damn early every summer. I had a bad experience at my first Warped in 2005 because I got there when doors opened at 11 and waited in line for like an hour and was miserable by the time I got inside and missed Reggie And The Full Effect (one of 4 bands that 15 year old me even cared to see at the time) in the process. That experience was so shitty that I've been in line by 9 every year since. Except last summer. I got there like 10:20 because the show started an hour later than usual.

 

In 2011, I actually did oversleep and got into the venue around 1, which makes those dreams even worse when they happen.

 

I really regret not getting into Our Last Night sooner. I did get to see a little bit of their set last year while I waited for Watsky, but damn those guys are so good

 

They are. I remember seeing them for the first time when they opened up for Finch and Scary Kids Scaring Kids and Trevor was like 16.

 

The only potential conflict that I'm anxious about is Underoath vs. Knocked Loose in Cleveland.

 

Aren’t they both playing the mutant stages though? You should be fine if that’s the case

 

Nah, I'm pretty sure Underoath is playing Main Stage now.

 

The date has been changed to avoid the Warped Tour conflict.
