That’s dope, I’ve only just started recently cuz I’ve never been a big power metal guy but I cannot resist the power of the Riff. Do hope the vocalist does another Iron Age record at some point

I’m surprised they haven’t been more active in the wake of Trump, their music was literally made for times like these.

Still waiting on that solo album, the single he did with EL-P was pretty good.

Looks like it may just be a tour announcement. We shall see. I'll be pissed but still try to see them haha

I thought System was gonna make a comeback 3-4 years ago when they were headlining festivals again. Surprised they haven't dropped an album yet. Hope they come back strong. Their s/t album is still a old favorite of mine.

I played Toxicity a fair amount still. Mezmerize/Hypnotize are absolutely amazing as well.

In interviews, Serj has said the band hasn't been able to agree on a direction for new album. Think that was 1-2 years ago though so maybe they got it together, I dunno.

I like the rest of their discography, but the first album just hit me at the right time. Toxicity just got a little too overplayed for me back in the day so I don't return to it often. Would be interested to hear what a SOAD record sounds like in 2018.

the first four motorhead albums are pretty perfect. lots of garbage after and a few surprisingly decent ones in the mix, but that opening run is pretty unassailable

I should give Motorhead more of a listen.

This came out last Friday and is more post-rock with some metal influence, but I think at least some of you would enjoy it. I checked it out just because I thought the album cover was awesome and am really enjoying it:

Gonna check this out. I heard another reviewer compare them to Thrice and that's all I needed.

Hmm, I can't say I get any Thrice from them, but I guess I get some Moving Mountains and Caspian, both of whom have some similarities to Thrice so that's not terribly far off the mark.

I also really enjoy that the songs and album aren't overly long, but they also don't feel short.

The vinyl looks awesome too, but I think it's only available from the UK: Coldbones - Where It All Began Vinyl

Finally got around to it. I didn't like Mater Dolorosa which was all I heard before but the album is so so good. My only gripe is that I'll listen to some tracks and think "this is a black dahlia ripoff" or "this sounds a lot like the red chord". Honestly, that's not even a bad thing haha.

Toxicity is an easy top five nu metal record, also one of the reason I started getting into left leaning politics along with RATM.

From my nu-metal days, I can always go back to Slipknot (self titled), Toxicity, and (if it counts) Hybrid Theory. They're all just solid albums front to back.

I'm not really a fan of this chuggy type of slam/death but I feel like some here will appreciate it. Came out last month:
