Joining a pool where golfers are broken out into 4 tiers based on their world ranking. Pick 2 from the top two groups, one from tier 3 and 4. Your best 4 scores count.

Tiger is in group 4...am I dumb for not taking him there on both entries? Like the rest of the group is mostly just dart throws, but I took Ryan Moore there as a contrarian pick

Kidding. I’m in a Masters pool and I didn’t take him either. Though mines a little different from yours.

 

I made a last minute switch today between the two entries so one is pretty chalky and the other has some longer shots.

#1: Spieth/Rose, Watson/Kuchar, Chappell, Tiger
#2: DJ/Thomas, Mickelson/Oosthuizen, Berger, Moore

Tier 3 was not great at all, the cut between 2 & 3 put Berger as the top tier 3 golfer with Adam Scott the last at #50 in the field...Tier 4 is Tiger and all your dart throws. Can't wait to watch at work all day for 2 days

 

I like both groups. #1 seems like the better of the two for sure. I have Spieth,Fleetwood, Kuchar, Watson and Adam Hadwin.

I also put a dollar on Mark O’Meara to win it all since he was +250000.

 

I like both too that's why I did two, I couldn't narrow down the choices much further, at least on the top two tiers. I switched Spieth and DJ between the entries yesterday so that the second was more speculative. Hoping for the best and uhhh go Mark O'Meara?

 

Got 2 FanDuel lineups going.
1: DJ, Rose, McIlroy, Vegas, Poulter, Si Woo Kim
2: McIlroy, Justin Thomas, Day, Pieters, Horschel, Stanley

 

I did two as well on FanDuel now that PGA is allowed in New York.

1: McIlroy, Watson, Kuchar, Oosthuizen, Chappell, DeChambeau
2: Spieth, Rose, Leishman, Berger, Moore, Steele

 

I like how yours are more evenly spread out, talent-wise, than what I have. I went for a few high priced guys and filled out with bottom tier guys for boom/bust potential. Hopefully they all pan out.

Tiger looking solid through 3 so far.

 

I think my O’Meara bet isn’t gonna work out. Haha

 

I'm sorry I jinxed him.

 

Yeah this is pretty upsetting how terrible he is playing.

 

Update: my picks are doing fine overall but someone else picked DJ, Rory, Leishman and Reed. His top 4 golfers are 10 strokes better than anyone else's top 4. I have the best entry that doesn't have Reed in it. I need to hope for a complete meltdown on his part. I hate everything.

 

I don’t like Reed so I’ll be rooting hard for a major meltdown too.

 

Had to do a quick read on his background and he sounds like a real turd

 

Reed and Leishman need to go away and then I can really enjoy the leaderboard.

 

DJ finally makes a fucking putt. Could be putting on more pressure if he could've drained some of the earlier ones.

E: Should be 4-5 strokes better if he could make one thru 16.

 

Reed looked a little slant with the putter finishing up today, he and Rory tomorrow should be a hell of a pairing. Hopefully he melts down like Rory did.

 

If that eagle chip didn't go in on 15, it would've been, at best, a questionable par with the slope of that green. Could easily be a 2 stroke lead.

 

Tomorrow will be awesome with all the big names up towards the top.

Would love to see Rickie win the whole thing but really I’ll take anyone but Reed.
